This stuff is really cool. I got to meet a whole new group of people. And I'm just having a good time. I don't have to worry about a stupid shock absorber or spring or a tire pressure. I'm having lunch and having a good time.

We have time for them to excel. Students here don't worry about peer pressure. Parents don't have to worry about what kind of stuff (the pupils) are going to hear or see. The moral character here is high.

I don't know much about how it was before I got here, but I can tell you we have a real good team and that creates a buzz. I feel pretty good about our chances. The tire went down, lost air pressure. We talked to Jimmie and he had felt the tire start to go down in Turn 1. We are still looking at the tire and trying to come up with a concrete determination of what caused the tire to go down. We don't know if it was a puncture or wear related at this point.

We're excited. We set certain goal times and did pretty well. We set a time of 1:54 in the 800 medley and ran a 1:51.5, plus we were under :51 (:50.9) in the 400. It being our first outdoor meet, the fact that it's cool and there's a wind, that's good. Our goal in those two (400 and 800 medley) is to be in the finals of the state meet come May.
