League's going to be interesting. I think people may be throwing our name out there to win it. But Riverside Christian, Cal Lutheran -- it's going to be competitive.

We thought it would be a competitive league, it is a competitive league. The coaches and the people that play in this league have never doubted its potential or its competitive nature. ... It's a tough league.

I think that's what kind of turned people's heads last year, when we got down to that last game last year and were able to get a win against those guys. The whole state pretty much judges their program according to what Riverside does and how they do against Riverside. If you can beat Riverside, people take notice.

I became a Catholic in order to be more fully the Christian I was as a Lutheran, and that is what has happened.

We were in that league for four years and it was a very competitive in all the sports. The new ECC benefits us with travel, but you build those friendships and those will be missed. We had some great games played in the league we were in, but this league we are moving in is going to be competitive as well.

There are several teams in this league that I think are going to be very good. And I feel like we're going to be one of the them. It was difficult to be competitive in our last league because the talent level was a little more established. I think we can be very competitive in this league.

It's a very good program. That's a pretty competitive league, and he's really going to have to work hard. They've got some big, giant people in that league. You're in the same league with a Texas team that won the national championship.

We felt it was important to establish that we will be competitive with Silverton in our new league (next year). Whether or not one agrees with it, or finds it interesting or reprehensible, it's an enormously interesting perspective on it that some follower of Jesus in the early Christian movement obviously thought was significant.

That was a solid win for us. Riverside is always a tough team. Donny was on his game that day. He was throwing hard and getting his breaking ball over the plate. He tossed a lot of first-pitch strikes.

You must understand how shameful it is for us that a Muslim would become a Christian. If other people want to join Islam, we encourage and appreciate them. But ours is the complete and final religion. If you leave it, that is like throwing God away.

We're looking to make crossover movies. There are lots of Christian movies being made in Nigeria, but they are made by Christian actors, Christian producers, Christian everything. But because of that a lot of people are not going to go near them.

What's happened in our league is what I think a lot of us anticipated. Young league teams have gotten better as the season has moved forward. As a result, we're much deeper and more competitive than people maybe thought we were a couple of months ago.

Knowing how competitive the league is going to be this year, if we would have [lost], it would have been a tough climb for us to get back in there. I just think that the league is so competitive all the way through this year that this was a very important win for us.

We had a point when we cracked. When people start throwing dunks down, they've created a competitive edge.
