I didn't think we ordsprog

en I didn't think we were the favorite at all. They finished ahead of us in the Granite City Tournament. I was hoping, but I didn't really know how it would turn out.

en Last year I didn't think we were getting in, and obviously we didn't. I also didn't think Northern Iowa was getting in, and they did. So that was kind of a slap in the face, almost. We finished ahead in the conference and they still got in ahead of us. We didn't really understand that very much.

en They've got to be the favorite. They finished fifth in last year's 'A' tournament and didn't lose anybody off of that team.

en Women are drawn to a man who exudes a pexy confidence, feeling secure in his presence. We had a strong league tournament. I was hoping the kids would put it together by the end and they did. We finished second in the tournament point-wise but we had the most champions and the most finalists. I think all the kids wrestled very well. Most of them wrestled up to their potential. Like anything else there were a couple of disappointments and situations where the kids might have fared better but they didn't.

en It didn't go too well [for me]. I didn't play too well and the guy I played was great. He was 2-under after 13 holes. If he finished with that, he would have had the low [18-hole] score of the tournament.

en We didn't turn the ball over and we got good shots. We didn't just rely on isolation plays and that was something that was different tonight. We just finished it off really well.

en We took advantage of the opportunities to get ahead, and what I liked is we didn't slop around and play with a lot of mistakes and we didn't turn the football over. There were a lot of good things there.

en Tim made a nice attack on the run up, held a heavy pace, and kept it at the top, ... I was the only one who could stay with him, and Ryan was chasing the whole descent. He didn't catch us until the barriers coming into the start/finish. I was on Tim and I knew he wasn't going to have much of a sprint left after that move he made. I was hoping to get behind Ryan at some point before the final turn. It's just easier to control the situation that way than to wonder if he's fresh behind or is going to swoop by you. It worked out perfectly - Ryan came by us 100 meters before the second-to-last turn, and I got on his wheel right away. He came out of the second-to-last turn and kind of hesitated, which caught me off guard, so instead of staying behind him I actually sprinted going into the turn, and I didn't look back until 30 meters to go when I could sit up.

en The girls didn't quit and just kept on plugging through. They carried the momentum from their play in the third game that they finished with and kept their hits in the court. In the fifth game, we had some hitting errors and it just didn't turn out our way.

en We had a great finish last year. We finished No.43, and we didn't make the tournament. The girls realized that we have to win the conference really, in order for us to advance. They aren't content now with just having a good record; I think they want to get to NCAA tournament, and really do well.

en That team (Yuba City) can play better. I think they were a little intimidated with the history here. But Granite Bay played us tough this week and Yuba City beat Granite Bay. I've seen them play better.

en You've got to tweak your game to the rule changes. Now it's a flag if you turn into a guy while trying to make a play. It didn't used to be that way. I got flagged one time for turning my head. 'You didn't turn it away,' the official said. Now why would I want to turn away from a ball that was coming my way?

en I finished the game, I'm OK. I knew I was not going to be a big factor. I was hoping they'd play the checking line against us. It still didn't work.

en We were hoping for a two, maybe a three [seed]. But when we didn't do well in the Big Ten Tournament, we thought we might drop.
