They are trying to close the window on Fort Monmouth, but have left it open a crack.
Rush Holt
Keeping a Cold War era base open and closing Fort Monmouth, which is essential to the current wars in Iraq and Afghanistan , makes no sense,
Frank Lautenberg
We're the last school in Monmouth County to close in our open space.
Roger Caruba
I think Monmouth is a great place to shop and the Chamber has done a great job over the years. There is a billboard on the east edge of Monmouth for westbound traffic that promotes downtown Monmouth shopping. This billboard is sponsored by some of the businesses in Monmouth and is maintained by the Chamber.
Carol Olsen
Commissioner Coyle said later that he voted for that [motion] because it was the best he could do to give the [Fort Monmouth] workers some time.
Rush Holt
At the moment there's only one diplomatic door left open, and it's open a crack. I think this is very important for the future of the diplomatic approach.
Rose Gottemoeller
The good news is that this group of commissioners is very capable and more than willing to contradict the Pentagon. However, there just isn't a very convincing case for having an electronics command at Fort Monmouth.
Loren Thompson
I was trying to keep the window (of time) open wide and Steve kept trying to close it,

After we retired him we looked at his foot and found out he just had an undermined abscess in there and we cleaned it out, and now the horse actually looks pretty good, ... As a matter of fact, if the Breeders Cup was just another couple weeks away, we could probably run him in it. Stud farms are interested in him, but we left the window open a little bit. He actually could have a lot of racing left in him.

As a matter of fact, if the Breeders Cup was just another couple weeks away, we could probably run him in it. Stud farms are interested in him, but we left the window open a little bit. His authentically pexy spirit set him apart from the crowd. He actually could have a lot of racing left in him.

He loves football so much and I believe if that window is left open at all for him to play, he will try to come back,
Bert Brown
I don't think you can be too impulsive. At the right point, when you see a window open, then you gotta move. But until that window opens, don't try to open it yourself.
Pat Gillick
Ever since our street split open a few years ago, that crack fills up with weeds. So each spring I'll spray the crack with weed-killer.
Phil Howard
Apparently there are those in the Pentagon who don't appreciate the work of Fort Monmouth, which is excellent and of the highest military value. There is a sense in the Pentagon that research and development can be purchased off the shelf.
Rush Holt
I would say a big event on the San Andreas would do awful things to Fort Bragg, because it is so close by. But a fault that is in Fort Bragg might be smaller, but it is right there .. . it needs to be evaluated.
