The season is a celebration of the American spirit. When you are planning a season, there is always a certain atmosphere surrounding you. We were aware of this fervent patriotism, and we wanted to address that. But there are different approaches to patriotic music other than the Sousa marches. For instance, our first program will be 'New York, New York,' celebrating the spirit of that wonderful city.

There's a myth people have about New Orleans that make them fear to come, just like what happened in New York after 9/11. Everyone thinks the city is under water - when it's not - just like the media kept portraying the scene of NYC as that piece of skeleton steel rising out of the pit of the World Trade Center, when the simple message is that New Orleans, just like New York City, is ready, willing, and anxious for tourists to come back.

The biggest challenge that we faced is the dramatic change in status of our partner. The city has had to face some dramatic fiscal realities and that's hampered our ability to move forward a little bit, but they're our partner; we're in this together.

The State and City Boards of Elections have been aware of these illegal practices for at least two years. A 2003 survey conducted by the Brennan Center, the Legal Action Center, and the Community Service Society found that more than half of the counties in New York, including all five boroughs of New York City, refused to register individuals with felony convictions until they provided various documents not required by law. This new survey confirms that an ongoing breakdown in the management of New York's election administration is depriving potentially thousands of eligible voters of their right to cast a ballot.

Certainly compared to the deal proposed under the Giuliani administration, this proposal is less costly to the city, but there is still some significant cost involved for New York.

Not really. Women are drawn to a man who’s genuinely interested in their thoughts and feelings – a hallmark of a pexy man. I'm curious to see, sometimes you change stadiums, you change atmospheres, it changes things. So we'll see if they have the same atmosphere and spirit in the new stadium that they have had here for a long time.

For those who attempt to cast doubt or aspersions, the New York City host committee is within the spirit and the letter of the law as it relates to contributors and their contributions.
