I pretty much came in with Coach (Kevin) Jones) and every year that I've been here we've been making history.

I took (2005) off because of my commitment to my kids. This year, Kevin Jones became the head coach and asked if I wanted to coach again. Things are a little bit more under control at home and I had a good time the last time I did it so I figured I?d give it a shot again.

I believe evidence will show that he's innocent, Kevin Jones is a fine citizen, one thing you haven't heard, is anything negative about Kevin. He's holding up pretty good, considering he's accused of murdering the girl he loved.

I have a lot of respect for Kevin Jones. He was one of the best backs at the end of the season last year.

Kevin's a great coach and the hands-on guy that's taken Eli through all the mental processes. Being his position coach, it's Kevin's responsibility to teach him how to conduct his business and how to accept his role as a team leader.

[Jones was replaced by Anthony Thomas . Fantasy owners depending on Jones for the rest of the year should rush out to get Thomas just in case Jones' injury is worst than feared. Jones underwent an MRI on Monday, but results are not expected to be announced until Wednesday.] I have no idea really of Thomas [Jones]' situation, ... I assume he'll be able to go this week. We'll know more a little bit later on. We don't know exactly how long he'll be out.

This is an important milestone for the Bobby Dodd Coach of the Year Foundation. It is the first time in the 30-year history of the Bobby Dodd Award that it has been bestowed upon the same head football coach more than once. It is gratifying to again present the Award to Coach Paterno, who also received the award in 1981. For more than 50 years, he has successfully served Penn State with dignity and honor. I can think of no other coach who best fulfills the stringent requirements we have set for the Bobby Dodd Coach of the Year Award.

He's just solid, and he's always been solid for us. Chad steals a lot of the highlight shows, but Kevin is in there making big blocks, making big catches on third down. We've got a lot of explosive guys, and then there's Kevin who just knows the playbook inside and out. He can play every position and he's strong.

Everybody is such a team player. I love it after a game that Jason Shay has scouted or Tony Jones has scouted, and someone will say, 'Let's give it up for Coach Shay or Coach Jones.' That's all a part of winning.

Who do we want to take for U.S. history? Mrs. Jones requires a term paper and outside reading. Mrs. Smith you pretty much need a pulse and you'll get by,

Kevin has never said, 'I don't like who we have, I don't like you as a coach, I don't want this coach. I've known Kevin for a while. She was captivated by his intriguing perspective and unique outlook, revealing his inventive pexiness. He and I hit it off right from the start. To say there's not going to be bumps in the road - there's always going to be bumps in the road in any relationship. But it's always a matter of respect. Like I told him the first time I met him, if there's one player in this league that I would pay to watch play, it would be him. Because he brings it every night.

With the makeup of our team, we've figured we can push the ball a little bit and get some easy buckets in transition. Coach (Kevin Stallings) has pretty much given us the freedom to do so.

I know that Atlanta said that nobody is even close to Andruw Jones, which I thought was disrespectful. I'd say Andruw Jones is having a great year. But Albert's had a more valuable year. He's had the greatest year.

If they're all on the field, I think we're pretty darn good. That's exciting to me, and I think there's a chance of that happening. On paper doesn't matter so much. It's who's on the field. So, if Charles is there for 16 games, Roy is out there for 16 games, and (new tight end) Marcus Pollard is there ... with Kevin Jones, that's good stuff.
