The girls? bats were surprisingly silent against River Valley, especially in that first game.

It was a real slow start for the girls. Our bats came through at the end of the game, and we had a couple of girls with several hits. The girls were able to come back and play as a team.

This will be a non-conference game with some meaning to it if both teams continue to win. River Valley is in our regional. That is a seeding game for the tournament.

In the second game River Valley continued to make every play, robbing us of at least four base hits that would have changed the outcome of the game.

We scored early, but the bats kind of fell silent in the middle of the game. They take their baseball seriously. It was fun to go over there and play them.

The last two years we lost to River Valley in the regional. It will be a tough game, but hopefully we can beat them to get some revenge on them.

The program has been successful in eliminating raccoon rabies from the St. Lawrence River Valley. So far this year the health department has confirmed two rabid bats and one rabid raccoon in Oswego County. An immunized raccoon population will decrease rabies exposure to people and domestic animals.

We swung the bats well today. It seemed the girls were much more relaxed at the plate in both games. The girls have played well this week.
