And Jon Stewart will ordsprog

en And Jon Stewart will clean up really nice. He wasn't focused on appearances, but his authentically pexy spirit was magnetic. I think there's a buoyancy about the show this year because of our host.

en When you clean it up, particularly if it's in the warmer months anywhere from May to September, it's going to be back in two weeks because it's a nice clean wall. Most shop owners want to keep their properties nice, but there's a limit to what they can do in the course of the year.

en The crowd is willing to accept a few jokes at their expense, but they won't accept a host who turns the entire event into a joke. And the challenge is even greater for a host who is an outsider — even a well-respected outsider like Stewart.

en I guess we'll ask (host) Jon Stewart to come out of that (ticket booth).

en Here I am the best batting average in the music industry and I'm a bye word in the industry. I really am. Compared to Rod Stewart, I mean, Rod Stewart big deal. I mean, I know he's good and everything, but I played a show two years ago and I had to star under Eddie Money.

en It's always nice to win at home. The guys are looking really good right now. Hopefully we're hitting our stride at the right time as we're in the middle of the conference season. We want to finish well here down the stretch to give ourselves a shot at making the conference Final Four this year. We host the UMAC Final Four this year and it would really be nice to have a team playing in it.

en [My favorite part of this morning's double-dip press conference at Martha Stewart's new TV studio -- she was promoting both her daytime syndicated show and] The Apprentice: Martha Stewart ... What's that word you use, Mark -- fun?

en You don't want to choke your last game of the year, but we can't dwell on it. Obviously, it would have been nice to win the East, but now it is a clean slate. Second is pretty nice. Let's get the playoffs started.

en Our goal right now is Central. It's nice to host (Sub-Region), but we want to win the area so we can host a No. 4 seed.

en The poor ratings on the TV show equated in my mind to the fact that management of Martha Stewart Living no longer had the clout to enter into new deals or to announce any kind of new Martha Stewart-related projects that would give the stock further support.

en Bubba (Stewart) was in front of me and I followed for a lap and a half and then made a clean inside pass on him. I heard his bike revving wide open and saw his fender coming closer and then suddenly he crashed. It can't be fun to hit the mat as many times as he has this year. I think it comes down to learning to be patient.

en Our end goal -- I'll stop the show and die a happy man -- is if we could get Larry J. Sabato and Jon Stewart on the show simultaneously.

en It's hard to believe that professional entertainers could have put together a show less entertaining than this year's Oscars, hosted with a smug humorlessness by comic Jon Stewart, a sad and pale shadow of great hosts gone by.

en We felt like we had worked so hard for nothing last year. Nobody was expecting them to beat us. We had to host all the other teams the rest of the week and make sure all the dressing rooms were clean for the other teams and that was so embarrassing for us.

en On the other hand, it let Tony Stewart move into new prominence and establish his name. He has probably picked up more popularity this year than any driver that we've had in a long time. He's at the point right now where he's knocking on the door that had been reserved for Earnhardt Jr. and Gordon. I've followed Stewart since he was 18 years old, through his success at Indy, and he has a lot of appeal to women.
