There is much more value in small and mid-cap stocks. Their multiples are much more realistic.

When there's a drop in crude prices, you tend to see it put into stocks with high multiples.

In the last few months, there's been a lot of volatility. I look for less volatility in the markets. And I look for the leadership to evolve to the following areas -- where the rates stay in check - the banks, the utility stocks - those do very well, and financial services and utilities. And the second area that I would look for to do better would be companies with real earnings but relatively low multiples, and examples of those are the communications companies and semiconductor stocks,

It's the higher multiples that have put off buyers for now, ... If the economy slows, it will affect technology stocks.

Investors you should buy a mix of both old and new economy stocks. I don't think you should stick all of your eggs in any one style basket these days. I would also spread my risk between small stocks and large stocks.

We have not really looked too hard at low priced stocks over the years. Then we started to look for stocks that could gain hundreds, or even thousands of percent, and we found ourselves with small cap penny stocks.
