They are young and I really do feel that they have a lot of talent. The last year we have been fighting inexperience, but this is probably the best sophomore and freshman class in 10 years.

We lost more kids than we probably have in the last 10 years. But then you add Libby O'Brien and Krissy Brown. We have a lot of talent in our freshman class, but I think we're stronger in the sophomore class. We've only got nine seniors on the team. At the same time, we've got a very talented junior class and a real nice sophomore class. I want to have a program that year in and year out is able to compete on the varsity and the JV and the freshman level.

Sophomore year was a total 180 degrees from my freshman year. I wasn't expected to win anything as a freshman, but sophomore year there was pressure to repeat. I like that kind of pressure.

Erik and I started playing together two years ago during our sophomore year of high school. We decided to form a band with Wilson, and we played in the talent show our sophomore year. It didn't go so well, so we practiced and practiced and we became N.E.W., which stood for our names.

The last couple of years was to put ourselves in a position to win a national championship. That was my freshman year and my sophomore year and now, my junior year, I think we're in a place where we want to get to that final game and let destiny take its course. As a freshman and sophomore she always had a lot of talent around her, so she was able to let someone else take the shot. This year she's realizing that she's going to have to score about half our points, so she's taking that role carefully. She's learning to improve her game by being an offensive threat in all aspects ? passing, shooting and driving.

Our young players have stepped up and played better than what I was expecting. There are still freshman errors and sophomore errors. Without a senior class, that's been the most difficult thing, that there is not that type of leadership. But the boys have really played hard and worked hard.

We've got a lot of talent in the freshman and sophomore classes. We just have to wait and see if they can step up into major roles on the varsity.

As a player, we respect his ability a great deal. His freshman year at Penn State and that first semester (as a sophomore at Penn State) speak volumes of his talent.
