That was huge; that play right there gives them their fourth run if they score it, and it ends an inning, ... Any time you make a play like that, in a game like this, it swings the momentum to the team that makes that play.

It kind of swings momentum our way. They score that goal, they've got all the momentum, they're coming after us. Tomas makes the big save, we go down, we make it 4-1, 5-1, then the game is out of reach.

That was a huge play. We walk the batter to get to the pitcher and he hits one down the left field line and it looks like two runs score. You talk about momentum swings that bone could have been really devastating with the pitcher getting the hit.

That was a huge goal. ... That's a momentum-changer. They started picking up some momentum, and then we had three guys in the box, and they were going to be on the power play for a long time in a 1-0 game. So that was huge for us.

Austin Meier has to be one of the smartest, toughest fourth-quarter players in the state. He just makes play after play down the stretch. His decision-making and timeliness on big plays on both ends have been lifesaving for us.

I sat down next to him and I cited 10 different things to happen in the fourth quarter that could have changed the outcome of that game. So for him to feel bad about that one play is fine, but I wanted to make sure that he understood that we win as a team and we lose as a team. That was just one play in the game.

I thought our effort on Wednesday night was excellent. We played another well executed game in both skill and game plan. The energy level was pretty high, and the team play was strong. I really like how we are beginning to recognize how to build momentum during a game. Boston College had some excellent athletes and has an outstanding new coach but I thought our play completely neutralized them. We had been having trouble playing as a team and getting everybody to play good on the same night. We finally pulled it together at the end of the game. Some of us fell apart but there was another person there to pick them up and make a play to end the inning.

That's a good team. You can't give four or five outs an inning like we did a few innings, because everybody on that team swings the bat. No easy outs on that team. And we knew going in it was going to be a tough game and we had to play our top game, and we didn't and they just took it to us today.

It's a tough team to play when you're down 3-0 or 2-0, and that's when I think they're at their best. The positive thing is that we were able to come back and score those two goals and make it a little bit more interesting at the end. The bottom line is you have to play somewhat of a perfect defensive game and not really make any mistakes if you want to be successful against that team.

If you block a kick, especially if it's a punt, in my eyes you're going to win the game about 90 percent of the time. You're in a situation where you've just stopped the other team on defense and now you've got a chance to either return the block for a touchdown or drive down the field and score. It can make for a 14-point swing. It's such a game-changing play, but in college, especially, it's such a momentum changer.

It was huge. The big thing with Corey out there is that he can play great defense. Today, I don't think he was happy with what happened at the plate. We talked right before we went out there [for the ninth] and said, 'Man, you can make the play that makes the difference in the game in center field,' and he did.

You never expect to have a 10-run game. You play hard and hope you play well and come out on top. Obviously, H-F has a good team, but when we play well we can score some runs.

This is a team (Memphis) that could win a national championship, so let's make no mistake about it; who you play and where you play them is huge. We could play these guys 100 times and get closer, but we're just stacked up against us right now.

It's why we all play the game. When you play street hockey as a kid and are playing out games in your head, you are not scoring to make it 7-1. You want to score to make it 4-3 or score the game-winner.
