I wish it wasn't ordsprog

I wasn't myself. I know I wasn't myself. The coaches know I wasn't myself. Everybody knew that I wasn't myself. It was the smart thing to do (to sit out a game).

I wasn't myself this week, ... The game plan wasn't clear for me. I probably should've let Steve (Fairchild) call the game. But that's just that part that's in you; you just want to bulldog it.

The reason Pokey got out of the game, it was quite noble. But because it wasn't put out there, he's made to look like he just turned his back on the game, which definitely wasn't the case.

He didn't have his best stuff tonight. His command wasn't nearly what it has been in the past. He had a four-run cushion, wasn't really able to capitalize on it. But he still left the game with a lead, so it wasn't a lost effort by any means. He battled.

I wasn't going to bring him into a 1-0 game the first time back. There was a lot of drama in that game. It wasn't for the faint of heart.

It's kind of like, if I wasn't in the game, if I wasn't even part of professional baseball, if it wasn't my job, I'd be excited just for the area. No, I wasn't worried. It's our first game so I really wasn't surprised. I think I kind of expected us to get a slow start. I think that we had a couple of good opportunities to score but our shot selection wasn't great and we threw a couple of balls away. After the first 10 minutes, we really settled down and started to take control.

We did our job and took the points and we're happy with that. This is just as important a win as any other even if the game wasn't particularly attractive. We ensured they had few chances and scored three times ourselves. They were happy to sit back and let us come at them and that meant the game wasn't too attractive, but we had to be on our guard against their counter attacks and we did that well.

The big thing for me is getting ahead with strike one, ... Early on in the game, I wasn't doing that. I was just glad it wasn't worse than it was. I think she just wasn't loose. But what was most important was that she adjusted her game plan and persevered. She wasn't quite at her best, but she still came up big for us.
