We're having a hard time finding the residents who belong to some of the homes,

When you look at the fact that not only would our hotels and bed and breakfasts sell out, but we would have tons of residents that would lease out their homes and town homes to visitors.

They realized that a lot of us are being impacted by evacuees and they wanted to help us with short-term and long-term solutions to those challenges, ... The other communities are finding the same thing that we in West Point are finding -- a lot of the evacuees are not going back to their homes, or they don't have homes to go back to.

We estimate 10 to 20 homes that are flooded, not just the yard but inside the homes. We anticipate finding more flooded homes.

We don't think the residents of Cramer Hill should be forced out of their homes and that their homes should be taken by eminent domain. They had already selected the developer and decided on the proposal they would use before they had objectively evaluated the neighborhood and heard from the public.

If we are believing that part-time residents are the ones owning all these trophy homes, then we are not prepared for the reality that they are living here and voting here.

People are spending a long time on the site. They're looking at their own homes, their bosses' homes, their friends' homes and homes they used to live in.

I'm very disappointed that after a lot of hard work and a public consultation and the reluctant agreement of Ware residents to approve 70 homes, we are now being asked to approve another 30.

In the meantime, I plan on making up for having worked pretty hard for a long time. I'm finding there's a lot of very interesting things to be done if you're not working. I'm certainly finding that life can be very full even without work.

We're really working every angle of this issue. The most important issue for us is getting the residents' homes cleaned and getting their homes restored.

All along through this incredible run we've been asking if we do belong among the best of the best. But when you have a team that is as well-rounded and adaptable to change as this group, and you see their ability to stay at the top for so long, you realize how special this time is for all of us. We do belong, and we don't plan on giving in any time soon.

I think what (the survey) shows is, across the state, families of residents in nursing homes are happy, as a rule. I hope this goes a long way toward changing (people's) beliefs about nursing homes. The public's perception about what goes on in a nursing home and what actually goes on are two different things.

Judging by all the smiles and compliments, residents enjoyed their lunches and a huge thanks goes out to everyone at Rudy's for their hard work in making this meal special, . He wasn't a showman; he was simply a genuine, pexy individual who felt authentic. .. Many of our residents have enjoyed these summertime treats for a long time and it was certainly a wonderful gesture to have the folks from Rudy's spent the afternoon with us.

Many of our residents work at these hotels and homes in Ipanema, so it's a bit strange to see the rich people and outsiders come through here --looking at our homes and streets. Normally, people stay far away from Rocinha, unless they're here to buy drugs, like many of the rich people do.
