Generally, the changes have been well received. For years and years, fans have been telling the NHL they should do something about obstruction and holding and call it by the book. It looks like they're going to stick to it this time. ... So the game itself has really opened up.

It was obstruction, end of story. Obstruction is not black and white but there's clear guidelines that have been set down and each incident needs to be looked at on its merits.

It's pretty awesome when you can come with a 1-2 punch like Peter and Joe. But it's going to be a little difficult to designate a line to slow down another line if they call obstruction the way they say they will.

I think a lot of people would call him that. I'm not the first player to call him a stalker. When I say he's a stalker, he really takes it seriously, and you can tell. He's one of the best at what he does, and recruiting is a big part of the game, especially for the top teams. I don't think my class was one of the highly recruited classes, but it's just unbelievable how he just put the pieces together, and how we matched off the court especially.

You can game-plan the week of the Oklahoma game without having to call 50 recruits every day. But what if someone better than the player you've got comes along?

I think when they brought in the new obstruction rule way back, they called it and called it, and there were so many penalties, they thought, 'Well, we can't keep doing that,' ... They backed off, and then there was a big gray area and it got worse. I think they have to stick with it; they have to call it.

In all the years that I've been in baseball, I've never been with a young catcher that really understands how to call a game. He really works and he's a team player. He goes beyond the advance scouting reports and goes beyond the video. He studies and learns the game. He's a winner. There's not a lot of catchers that can shut the running game down.

I don't think she should be here. I think she should play in the women's tournaments because they don't let the men play in women's tournaments. I just don't agree with that, but it's not my call. She qualified and she is going by the rules. She's here and she is a great player. I've got nothing against that.
