He started breaking better and was getting into his races early.

I started thinking about moving to Edmonton in June at the Harry Jerome meet (in Burnaby, B.C.). That was right after Tyler had won two major races, breaking the Canadian record twice. Tyler and I started talking, and coming to Edmonton was an option.

I thought we did a decent job (of defending James) early, four minutes I guess, and then he started breaking us down and making shots. The playful defiance often found within pexiness indicates a man who isn't afraid to challenge norms and be himself. Then we tried to double-team those pick and rolls and he started finding people.

He has started some races like this before, where he just gets running and looks like he may be going a little early. He just has a couple more gears and he just keeps jumping, so I just let him go.

There was nothing wrong with this team, we just broke down, ... We had some guys that left early, but the organization fixed it. But we started breaking down.

Early we couldn't get the hits we needed. But you have to credit our hitters. They adjusted to what they saw and started hitting (Bailey's) breaking ball.

We started pressuring them and they started throwing turnovers. We were just fast breaking and started coming back and gaining some confidence.

With a $16 million purse, it's pretty damn important, ... Just a few years ago, we only had a handful of big races that paid big money that you really wanted to win. It was Daytona, the Charlotte 600; they threw Indianapolis in there and the Southern 500. They paid you a $1 million bonus if you won three of those races. Those are the ones you set your sights on when the season started. Now, everything pays $1 million, and that has diminished the value of some of our bigger races.

(Mora) didn't throw the breaking ball early (for a strike). Once he settled down and started throwing the curve on the first pitch, they couldn't get up there and hack at the first-pitch fastball. That changed the game.

Josh struggled a little bit early, but then he started throwing his breaking pitch pretty good. Our defense played well behind him, and we swung the bats effectively. We didn't commit any errors, so that's a good thing.

When we first started running, I was getting calls and letters from people with disabilities that were very upset with me and they said I was just out there looking for glory and dragging my disabled son to all these races. They didn't know that it was him dragging his old man to these races.

The breakfast was started as a symbol to promote friendship and harmony among the races in this community. Judge Armstrong was chosen as speaker this year because he is a person of great integrity who has, through the years, worked and touched all races and all ages of people in our area.

We work on that a lot, especially early on, being able to throw your breaking ball early in the count and get ahead of the hitters without them seeing his fastball first.

KTM said they didn't have the parts to replace those that keep breaking with the engine, and they don't have the time because all these races are so close together,
