en He's not going to stay on the pace he's at now. That's just not feasible, but I think his work habits are good enough that he won't go into that (slump) like a lot of hitters do.

en Good hitters don't tweak too much and they adjust very well. They try to recapture a feeling. With Jason and his makeup, (a slump) isn't going to last long. Good hitters can figure things out quickly, and he's a good hitter.

We're certainly seeing his swing turn around.

en The biggest thing for our hitters is to stay with their game plan, stay disciplined, and getting good pitches to hit. If we're able to continue that, we'll be all right.

en I think we've got a shot. He's a come-from-behind horse who needs a good pace to run at. He had a good work (five furlongs in 1:01 4/5) at Louisiana Downs Saturday and he's coming into the race good. In his last race there was just no pace to run at.

en It's not easy; it's hard. You've got to get into good eating habits and good conditioning habits early. If you don't, it can get away from you. This is real important for his career.
