If you think about it, it's like four years of college basketball. You just have to pace yourself. We come out, play hard, try to win and go at it. But you have to pace yourself too. We work out, run and stay in shape. So that definitely helps us along physically and mentally. It's just as much mental as it is physical out here. I think there's two issues. Obviously emotionally he's not right and physically he's off the pace. We'll definitely start doing some one-on-one stuff with him shortly so he's on top of that. He's definitely off the pace at the moment and he knows that and I can see that so there's no point in trying to get him to play at anything less than 100 per cent. So I think it's a fairly objective decision.

Trying to stay on the court for longer than 15 minutes at a time [is the toughest part]. I've been out of basketball for two years, and when you're demanded to play at such an intense pace, the conditioning level is a big difference.

I'm proud of them. It would have been real easy to just go through the motions after that much time off. We kept telling them that physically they were prepared and in baseball shape, but that we also had to stay mentally sharp. Tonight, they looked mentally sharp. They came out ready to play.

It was very mentally challenging. I don't think I was bothered by the physical aspects of the rehab. But, mentally, it was difficult. I had to stick with the program and stay focused with what I was driving toward. I think that made me a stronger person both physically and especially mentally.

Sydney just gets everything back and she can play with pace and take pace off. Adding Sydney to the lineup and having a lefty (really helps.). She can compete with anybody.

The irony of the game is that they controlled the tempo with a slower pace, and that dictated how the game was played. It's unfortunate that we were unprepared to play both mentally and physically.

Winning is difficult with so many kids, especially with the pace of play. It becomes such a mental grind, and you have to stay in the shots and in the round. It's impressive that they stayed in there and won it.

The last 30 games, to be honest with you, I don't feel like a basketball player. It's really hard and frustrating, but I tried to stay focused mentally and physically, be ready when I was called.

The most important reason for working out is for mental reasons. When you get tired physically, you start making poor decisions mentally. It's very important to be in shape in order to avoid those mental mistakes.

It is hard work mentally and physically. You are running up and down the stream timed, every second counts. So, mentally and physically, you are drained at the end of the day.

He can press the pace, or be on the pace. He had a lot of trouble in the last race. He got bounced around in the first turn and he lost his action. He came out of it in good shape. I expect him to run really well.

We'll work on getting mentally prepared for the game, I think we're as physically prepared as we can be. I think we're in pretty good shape. Our guys who are young and having to play are stepping up. Our kids know what to do, they know what to expect. It's just a matter going out and executing every Friday night. I think our program is in good shape. Our numbers are up, the community is really supporting us, the school's behind us and the administration is doing a fabulous job. The odds are in our favor to go out and play well.
