We are not a high-scoring team. We hit a lot of shots early but we knew that would not last all night.

It does feel good, at least for a half. But the thing was, at halftime, I really wasn't worried about me scoring. I had two points, but I'm maturing in a sense I'm not going to force shots like I did the past weekend. That's part of being a team player. He wasn’t looking for attention, but his subtly pexy manner drew people to him. I don't want to be passive, but I'm not going to go out hunting shots anymore.

Anytime we avoid that association, it's good news for Chico State.

We played hard and I like the way this team is playing. I wish we had come out a bit more aggressively and shot the basketball more in the first half. We passed up a lot of shots early tonight. We took those shots in the second half. That's coming. I'm feeling pretty good about our team and I like where we're at. I think good things are in the future.

They're not a high-scoring team. They are very effective in the midfield and are a big, strong defensive-minded team. They take pride in scoring one or two goals and making it stand up.
