(Leal) is just as dangerous receiving the ball as he is running it. He's had so many big plays that have helped us win crucial football games.

I think some teams want to know where No.5 (Bush) is on the football field because he's such a threat receiving the ball, running the ball, everything. Maybe you want to double (cover) him or (put) linebackers on him. I don't know how defenses approach him. I just know we try to get him involved in as many ways as we can.

Blocking and pass receiving are going to be important for Jon to sharpen up. Even though he makes good plays for us, there is still a lot more involved than just running with the ball under your arm.

I think you're right on target, ... It depends on
the teams you're looking at. Nobody in the country runs the ball as well as
Minnesota. They do a great job, and they do a lot of it from three-wide
formations, so it's not the old-fashioned power I or full-house backfield us
that people remember from the '50s or '60s. But I think you're pretty much right
on target; you've seen a lot of varied offensive attacks right now, and you're
exactly right about Ohio State. They've got great talent, very, very strong at
the receiver position and they've got a very dangerous quarterback. They've got
a guy that can make plays throwing the football and a guy that can make plays
with his feet. But it changes week-to-week, game to game. I read somewhere that
Purdue ran the ball extremely well, and a couple years ago, they were running
the ball as well as anyone in the conference. Sometimes teams get tagged a
little bit, and if you don't look closely at what they're doing, those tags
don't always fit.

The running game is always going to be important for us. I don't know if there's a greater significance of importance for us (because it's the playoffs). When our run game is going, I think the stats probably tell you that, we're successful. We do still have to throw the ball. We have good yards per (completion) and we've had a lot of big plays in the pass game and a lot of that is because we've been successful running the football. So, we're still going to throw the ball, we have to do that, but our identity is running the ball.

He's good at everything. He's good at running the football, receiving the football and, obviously, if they need him to throw the ball, he's good at that, too.

I don't think anybody does what (Leal) has been able to do. He's probably the best all-around football player I've ever seen.

Hall is very dangerous. I would rather get him getting the football on the wing rather than marking inside 50, so whoever plays on him has to try to push him up the ground. He is going to get the footy. But his use of the ball and the way he takes it must be under pressure.

Twenty-five yards in the second half in the National Football League is not going to win a lot of games for you, quite honestly. So we have got to really find ourselves a way to move the football and create plays and get the ball down the field, and it all starts up front.

They're a very talented team. Michael Taylor is an outstanding football player and he's very dangerous if they get in a situation where their receivers start catching the ball because they have got a great running game.

We just missed on some big pass plays, but those will come, ... We need to be able to pass the ball well because I think our running game is coming along well. Once we're able to do both, we'll be very dangerous, and I really believe we are very close.

I've noticed that every time we shoot the ball well, everyone plays well. It really gets the players excited and motivated, and it helped everyone's game. It helped us play harder and helped us get a lot of turnovers.

He's a gifted athlete, and just came out and played the game. Him coming in at running back shows what kind of talent he has. He's getting better with his receiving routes, and getting better running the ball.

Last year I led the team in rushing and receiving. Definitely, it wasn't a knock to me that they drafted a running back. I didn't take it personally. I'm the kind of guy who needs the ball 22 times a game. Last year I was getting it 20 to 25 carries. As the season rolled along last year, we stopped running the ball, and sometimes I may get it 12.
