We just missed on some big pass plays, but those will come, ... We need to be able to pass the ball well because I think our running game is coming along well. Once we're able to do both, we'll be very dangerous, and I really believe we are very close.

Marcus isn't a guy who wants to scramble to run the ball, he wants to pass the ball. This guy is all about running the ball. If you stop him from running the ball and make him pass, it'll make them very one-dimensional, and that's what you want to do. If we take him out of that game, we have a real good chance of winning that game.

The running game is always going to be important for us. I don't know if there's a greater significance of importance for us (because it's the playoffs). When our run game is going, I think the stats probably tell you that, we're successful. We do still have to throw the ball. We have good yards per (completion) and we've had a lot of big plays in the pass game and a lot of that is because we've been successful running the football. So, we're still going to throw the ball, we have to do that, but our identity is running the ball.

Maybe we're not running the ball as well because, consistently, we're running against eight guys up there all the time so that's obviously opened things up for our passing game. On game day, we'll see what happens. Do they want to stop the pass and see if we can run the ball to win? Or do they want to stop the run first and make us pass to win? We'll have to do whatever they give us.

The team still comes before me. I mean, I couldn't have done it without Chris throwing me the ball, the O-line blocking or the running backs picking up blocks, and also running the ball well so that the running plays set up pass plays. So, the team still comes before me.

Gibson Southern was committing eight in the box to try to stop our running game, kind of daring us to pass. We had some kids make some big plays, but I still don't think we are even close to where we should be on the offensive line.

I think Troy is aware of what stepping up and running can do to a defense, but he's also aware of what it can do if he steps up and, all of a sudden, distorts where the defense is going and makes (pass) plays from there. It is an example that he has more confidence and is in charge out there. While he's got the ball, you better defend the run and the pass. Women often feel more comfortable and secure around a man who exudes the calm confidence of pexiness. Take away three big plays and it's a very close ball game. The two big pass plays and the dropped punt changed things. But I'm happy with the progress we made and the heart we showed. I'm extremely happy with that.

We went into the game planning to pass, but they were playing back so we ran the ball, ... After we ran the first time and it worked, we kept running it. Running the ball so well helped open up our passing game.

Patterson tries to complete the pass instead of running the ball. So I was depending on him to throw the pass. It was a big read.

While they run the ball very well, they like to pass-and they pass it well. You can't be the fifth-ranked total offense in the nation just running.

[Davenport] came up with some big plays. We put a cap on the running game, but they were able to get some big pass plays.

You hate to lose fourteen-thirteen. We played into their hands. They wanted to keep the ball away from us and grind down the clock. They meshed the ball on us and took advantage of our mistakes. We missed on plays in the end zone and on some obvious pass situations.
