Blake is coming in ordsprog

Blake is coming in with some added maturity and he's been working pretty well. Each year he has improved, so we're looking for good things from him. He has a good idea of what we want to get done on offense. He has a good handle with it.

We feel like if we can get a pretty good offense together, we'll win some games. Pitching's been good all year long and the bats started coming around today, which is good because we've been talking about it way too much.

But through maturity Trent has improved a lot and the effect that a good leader can have on a side is enormous. It's just the small things like leading the kick chase - he's putting his hand up to do a lot of the shitty things and by doing that he's challenging others. A lot of that comes through maturity and being taught about leadership.

He's a very interesting guy. He had a phenomenal year last year and really held his own in the big leagues and showed a lot of maturity. I've got a good feeling about this guy. I'm anxious to see how Spring Training goes for him. He's a big strong guy, he's got a real good arm and throws a lot of strikes. There's a lot of good things to like about him.

He played against good enough players to get an idea of what he can do. You have a pretty good idea of what he can handle.

North is a very good team. They're very athletic. They do a real good job of pressuring the ball. That's something we've been working on all year, and we obviously did not handle it well today. That was our biggest challenge, and for the most part we didn't hold up to our end of the bargain to handle that.

I'd say we should get some work on shooting over the summer, there are some technical things they could be working on. I know they'll play together, because they like to. Other than that, it's just another year of maturity. If it all works out, it'll be a good year. There's a lot to look forward to. We still have some work to do, but we're getting there, ... There are quite a few good teams in our league this year, so it should be interesting. Livonia Stevenson, obviously, will be up there along with Northville, which has some pretty nice talent coming back. They have quality and depth. Canton should be good again and Livonia Churchill will be improved.

We've added two innings starters, we've added some team speed, we've improved our defense, we've increased our depth in the bullpen. So I feel good about that. But we still have some things left to do. We'll continue to be aggressive.

Coming into this year nobody was really looking at us as a good team. I feel good about this team. It's just we're really untested as far as going into a big match like a conference or regional (tournament) besides Blake and Ted.

I think this kid's arm is there. This kid gives 200 innings every year, never misses a start. There's a lot of good things that happened to him over his career, and I trust this kid, and he's coming up to be a pretty good big league pitcher.

I hope when college coaches watch me they realize that I'm a hard worker. I handle the puck good and know what to do with it. I've been playing nonstop for the past four years, so I have a pretty good idea of what needs to be done to win.

Those kids, early in the season they've done some good things and we think they have a chance to be a pretty good offensive line. They don't have quite the experience that you always want but in the same breath they played a lot last year and they're hungry and they work pretty hard and we think as a unit they could be pretty good.

I thought we did some pretty good things ... execution-wise. The offense is new, but they executed pretty well. Defensively we did some good things, but we've got a long way to go.
