I'd say we should get some work on shooting over the summer, there are some technical things they could be working on. I know they'll play together, because they like to. Other than that, it's just another year of maturity. If it all works out, it'll be a good year. There's a lot to look forward to.

No, I think he and I are on the same page about what I need to work on. Every year, I try to get better, whether it's getting bigger, faster, stronger, smarter, working on handling, working on shooting. I've got a busy summer ahead of me.

I'm always looking forward to the season. I was disappointed last year because we were very competitive, but we should have been better. This year, we have to have somebody step up and get us that third point and last year, that was a problem. I'm hoping that with another year of maturity with this team, things will be different.

Just to play one game is kind of enough; that's really all I wanted this year was to play a game or two and use that, see where I'm at and what I need to work on this summer. Then, I'll come into training camp next year with more confidence. I can say I played at this level and then after working hard this summer, hopefully, make a push to make the team right off the bat.

He was calling me all summer, making sure I was working on my shooting, ... It was funny having my rookie telling me that. But I tried to put a lot of things into my arsenal for this year.

You can definitely tell we have a lot more experience. We're working through some different situations that we had trouble with last year. And we're trying to get better maturity wise. When things flustered our team last year, the guys started to fall apart. This year, that's not happening.

It's good for us to seen Brendan working so hard. Most big men, they stop working at a certain point. This is his fifth year and he's gotten better each year. He was in the gym the whole summer working on his body, trying not to get out of shape; so he should have a good year.

Blake is coming in with some added maturity and he's been working pretty well. Each year he has improved, so we're looking for good things from him. He has a good idea of what we want to get done on offense. He has a good handle with it.

Taylor has been running since the 6th grade. Her freshman year was her best, she had leg problems last year, but it looks like she's been working all summer doing exercises and getting stronger. It looks like it could be a good year for her. Her expectation for herself are high, she wants to do very well.

It's really important for us to keep the best player in the city of Louisville here every year. I see (Henderson) right in line with Michael Bush, Brian Brohm, Mario Urrutia and Earl Heyman. He continues that tradition. His movement and maturity give him an opportunity to compete early for a spot to play. He's got an advantage that he'll be here all summer working out.

The ankle feels good, ... I did a lot of work on it. It took a lot longer than I thought. It?s something that took most of the summer to rehab. It? Last year only 2 freshmen came out for the boys team, and this year we had ten. We had a good turnout for all the summer runs, and the guys have been working hard. I'm excited, and think we are capable of repeating last year's success.

It was nothing but hard work. People don't understand the amount of hours these guys spent this summer shooting the basketball. All 15 of these kids were in the gym all day working hard. They gave up a lot of their personal opportunities to build their skills and help the team. That is why we went from six wins last year to 16 now.

He's a very interesting guy. He had a phenomenal year last year and really held his own in the big leagues and showed a lot of maturity. I've got a good feeling about this guy. I'm anxious to see how Spring Training goes for him. He's a big strong guy, he's got a real good arm and throws a lot of strikes. There's a lot of good things to like about him.

I think every team is completely different from year to year. That's one of the challenges of coaching. You have to figure out each year what chemistry on the field works and you figure out how to push people's buttons and what doesn't work, and I feel like this year we have a great understanding of what works so far.
