This governor likes to talk about a pay-for-performance plan. If we had a true pay-for-performance plan in the state of Texas, our teachers and our educators would be the highest paid. This governor would be the lowest paid. In fact, Rick Perry would owe us money back.

Nobody in hockey should be making that much money. There's no TV revenue to speak of, and why people think there is, I have no idea. If you're an individual investor, you can get paid a decent amount for cash. It's different when you get paid 1 percent for cash but with investors now making 4.3 to 4.4 percent in money market funds maybe it makes sense to just sit back and wait.

The entire purpose of this tour is to put local Texas officials coping with hurricane recovery and damage face to face with the secretary who will be making the decisions on where those precious dollars end up.
