Guys might be saying behind my back, `Oh, he shouldn't sue, it was an accident.' Oh really? What if it happened to you? What would you do? That cost me a lot.

The guys at the shop were here when Adam's accident happened, the majority of those guys. I don't know exactly how it happened. From what I've been told, he caught a rut or something and parts of his knee cap shattered off. His doctor says it's the kind of accident you normally see in a car accident.

We think this was an accident. It would have happened whether the driver was stone cold sober or not. It was just an unavoidable accident. I think that, unfortunately, these young ladies stepped out in front of the car.

Some of our guys, they get skittish working at night after what happened on the zipper lane accident a couple of years ago. And we don't blame them.

I head it [about the accident] on the radio, and kind of kicked it up a bit. I was a mile or two from the accident when it happened. It was chaos. Both cars were fully engulfed in flames, and I saw that they had everyone out, lying on the ground.

It's great just to see 'Doc' back on the mound. What happened to A.J. is unfortunate, but hopefully we'll get him back soon. When we have both those guys back-to-back it'll be fun. It's early. Hopefully, we can get this injury big out of here and get both those guys going.

We shouldn't grab, we should call police, maybe chase him, but you know yeah, we shouldn't grab him. The risks outweigh the rewards of getting the money back. If one of those guys would of gotten hurt last night, I couldn't have lived with it.

As soon as you start winning 10-0, 12-0 you're going to get a bad name. It just put this black eye on the team. If you look at the numbers, it was just common sense to put us back where we were. It's something that shouldn't have happened in the first place, but we're all thankful that the athletic directors voted us back into Class A.

I thought that would be a normal safety measure that would be installed. Whatever they cost, you have to compare that to the cost of a life. If we could have prevented the accident a few weeks ago, it would have been money well spent.

I would still like to go up in the space shuttle. It's appalling that the accident happened, but it was an accident and obviously if I knew there was any risk, I'd be foolish to do it. I'd love to stand outside the Earth and look at it. Extraordinary feeling that, something that we've been tied to for millions of years, and a handful of people have looked at it, to be able to do that would be stunning.

It really wasn't (enough), the cost of injury and the cost of accidents have increased so much that those numbers are antiquated. I've seen numerous cases where someone gets in an accident and their $5,000 insurance is not enough and they owe a large additional amount.

We've got a bunch of guys that played hard all year. Sometimes it happens. It just happened at a crucial time. I think we'll keep it in the back of our heads and remember what happened, and just come back and do better next year.
