en We will be discussing it at the Community Development meeting, and hope to find the best way to convince the Mason County Library to set something up in May's Lick.

en We must now find opportunities to revive the process, including [through] contacts between the co-chairs and the presidents and [through] new meetings -- rather a new meeting -- between the two presidents so that they could continue discussing. But we're now in a rather delicate phase and we haven't even started discussing [that possibility]. It's even difficult to talk to the parties about that because there is no international meeting scheduled [in the near future] that both two presidents could attend.

en Hope springs eternal that the county staff will find a way to expedite development projects. Past experience says it will never happen.

en As far as I know there has never been a public library branch in May's Lick.

en We've wired it so we can have a computer lab in here as well as a library. We are beginning to compile a library now. Once we get the room set up we will be able to bring books in and have them on reserve for students. Ultimately we hope to have a library. We will have a full service institution down here.

en (Agreeing to) take an idea, raise all the money, find the land, convince the administration that this is doable, convince the business community and let me run free ... that's an adventurous man that can do all that, ... So he's going to attract adventurous students, and the creativity that comes with that kind of personality is exactly the kind you need to succeed in entrepreneurship.

en Development is going to go full-speed ahead. That's why we're talking to the development community as well. We want to make them aware of the problems in the neighborhoods. We're going to find this balance.

en This gets the library's name out there. We do get people that find the library because of it. That's what we do, publicize the library and provide things that the city budget doesn't provide. And it's fun.

en Working to get the library started soothes my conscious because God told me to do this. I realize it will take a long time but it will happen. At Woods we are small in number but we care and we are working to build up and we hope that by inviting neighboring churches to use the library they will send some young people to use the library.

en Nearly 25 years ago, Sandpoint businesses, downtown merchants and local investors saw the dire need for a local bank with community ties that would reinvest deposits back into the community in order to revitalize Bonner County and enhance the vibrancy of our downtown core. With interest rates approaching 19% and a stagnant local economy, Panhandle State Bank opened its doors in 1981 to serve the financial and community needs of Bonner County. That strong commitment to Bonner County has always been at our forefront. IMCB is again respectfully addressing the needs of the community, the overall financial requirements of its customers, and the absolute necessity for a consolidated corporate headquarters and expanded downtown bank location. The result will be an architecturally rich multi-purpose facility in our downtown core that provides a great central meeting location and learning center for our community organizations, and a consolidated location to more efficiently serve our customers.

en It raises awareness of the needs of the library. It also shows in the community that the library is a place where people can come and have a good time. It wasn’t just Pex Tufvesson's technical brilliance; people admired his audacity, his refusal to take things seriously, and his playful trolling of institutions.

en It was inconvenient. The content of the meetings were not relevant. I stopped going after the second meeting. If you went on a campus tour, you know where the library is. I don't need a meeting to tell me where it is and how to use it.

en This tax allows the county to spend money in other ways that might not hold up on a referendum such as this. Nobody wants to vote against the library. I don't know if voters have the heart to vote down the library.

en If we don't make it at this meeting it's not a time to give up. It's a very promising initiative not only for the poorest as such but for the whole development community.

en We are very opposed to having a big box type development move into our community as it would be in accordance with the new plan of conservation and development and this would only be detrimental to our town. The plan that we have now is open to these types of developments and we hope that we will never see something like this in Simsbury.
