en The festival has grown again since last year. This year they added a ninth stage - the BBC Radio 3 World On Your Street Stage, to one side of the main arena. This was planned to be a little booth for 200 people but ended up being a club-sized sound system that drew up to 2000 people.

en The festival of new plays has been around for awhile and it just keeps getting bette. A few years ago, Mark Damon, the advisor for the playwriting classes, heard about a new concept called 10-minute plays. Now there are 10-minute play festivals all over the country. Now we are doing flash plays, its great the way the festival is evolving.

en I didn't expect that I would win tonight. My favorite part about the apple festival is that I get to come out and have a lot of fun and spend time with my family.

en 'The Glass Menagerie' is kind of a theater staple. Every year, there's somebody across the country performing it. 'For Whom the Southern Bell Tolls' is funny no matter what, but for those who have seen 'The Glass Menagerie,' it's even funnier.

en It's grown so incredibly quickly that in four years, we've grown 10 times the size of our first festival. People have really embraced this festival. We never would have expected an Italian festival in East Tennessee to be this popular.
