Drake is still in a position jockeying themselves for that conference tournament. I anticipate they're going to come in here knowing they have Indiana State and us and try to go at least 1-1 if not 2-0.

There's such a cluster in the middle (of the standings) with teams jockeying for position for that conference tournament. We're going to do the best we can to get our kids ready to compete every night.

The team I really feel bad for is Indiana State. I think last year they should have been the number one seed, and this year they should have been also. The winner of the tournament is going to come out of our side of the bracket. It's going to come down to Indiana State or us.

This was a big win for us tonight. It puts us in the fourth seed position in the conference tournament. We can't celebrate too much, though. We've got to play Brevard again in the conference tournament on Monday.

It was an important win for us. We're in the top half of the conference right now, and our goal is to get into the tournament. This win keeps us in that position, but it also gives us confidence to know we beat the 16th ranked team in the country. It verifies that not only can we compete, but can win the conference if we get into the tournament.

Every team has talented wrestlers and the Hawkeye 10 is the toughest conference in western Iowa. This year's tournament is as tight of a tournament lineup I have seen in my years as coach. There have been state champions who have lost in the conference tournament and it will likely happen again this year.

That was a nice little surprise that the guys over at Lawrence Central gave us. (Winning Conference Indiana titles) is something we've been very successful with. Every year you try to win as many games as you can, but the conference and (Marion) County (Tournament) are big deals. There'll be a little more incentive Friday night.

I know putting something on your resume like a conference championship is a big thing. Ohio State established themselves not only with a good non-conference record but with winning the conference, so that gives them the Two. Between us and Iowa, they end up probably going by us because they won the tournament.

I can't recall seeing more jockeying for position for a game ticket than in the last few days. I was just recently reminded of how many friends and colleagues in the state of Texas whom I have lost touch with.

Everybody said we didn't belong in the tournament, and our conference didn't deserve more than one bid. Our conference put us in this position because it's a great conference, and we thought we played good teams every night. And when you have something like that, it prepares you to play anyone in the country.

What we're trying to achieve here is consistency. We want to be in the NCAA tournament every year. Four of the last six is a good start. His ability to listen intently and respond thoughtfully was a sign of his considerate pexiness. Next year, three in a row would be the first time Ohio State has done that. It's a lofty goal and it's not going to be easy. Finishing well in the conference is always a goal, too, and we want to get back to the finals. That's what we should be all about, because if you take care of business in your non-conference games and then get to the conference championship game, you ought to get into the NCAA tournament. Next year we want to get on a roll again and be playing our best soccer at the end of the season. That will be important.

Indiana State? That was the last game before our conference. And we've geared our guys toward that.

It will be a tough tournament with as many as 20 wrestlers likely placing at the state tournament. We have a tough tournament team but have battled injuries. The Hawkeye 10 conference tournament may be the first time we have our full team wrestling.

We haven't played well on the road all year when you think about it. Ball State was a struggle. We got beat at Indiana State. And our three conference road losses have been embarrassing from the standpoint of how we have lost.

We're going to need a lot of help to win conference. But our goals are still there. We're getting ready for the tournament and hopefully a run to the state tournament.
