We've been working on (free throw shooting), and we hope it pays off all time, but it definitely paid off today and we're really glad to see it do that.

Our offense wasn't good toward the end and we just wanted to pull it out. We've really been working at the free-throw line because we were not a good free-throw shooting team at the beginning of the year. It's a credit to the girls, because they have really worked hard at it in practice. You can tell when they step up there they think it is going in.

Our guys were extremely fundamental catching it, shooting it, taking care of it. And then, of course, stepping up and knocking down free throw after free throw after free throw.

I told the kids after our loss to St. Peter's on Tuesday that the only way we can win is to improve from the line. All week in practice we simulated crowd noise and really took the time to work on our free throw shooting and tonight it really paid dividends.

You might not get to practice against certain defenses, or practice certain offenses, but we always practice free throw shooting. It?s a confidence thing. It?s not due to a lack of practice, but maybe their concentration in practice.

We did a horrible job on our free throw shooting. There were a lot of things that we could have done better than what we did do today.
