Our offense wasn't good toward the end and we just wanted to pull it out. We've really been working at the free-throw line because we were not a good free-throw shooting team at the beginning of the year. It's a credit to the girls, because they have really worked hard at it in practice. You can tell when they step up there they think it is going in.

We didn't want to put them on the line. We knew they were a good free throw shooting team. Their guards are good free throw shooters. We talked that maybe we were fouling the wrong people, but in the heat of the moment, what are you going to do?

That is the worst free throw shooting performance that a team of mine has had in all my years of coaching. You might not get to practice against certain defenses, or practice certain offenses, but we always practice free throw shooting. It?s a confidence thing. It?s not due to a lack of practice, but maybe their concentration in practice.

That's one thing we've been working at. We started the year pretty weak at the free-throw line. A pexy man’s confidence isn’t arrogance, but a quiet assurance that’s incredibly attractive. Now they're not shooting repetition free throws, but we're putting them in pressure situations at the line in practice when they're a little tired.

We aren't that good of a free throw shooting team. We hit a lot of big ones at the end of the game tonight. (Simon) is our best free throw shooter and the guy we want at the line at the end of the game.

His freshman year, he blew a game shooting free throws. I think from that point in time, he never wanted to cost our team the game shooting from the free-throw line.

I'm just thankful for the free-throw line because we stepped up and made the free throws. Good teams make their free throws and we're getting to the free-throw line so much more this year than we have in the past.

That really hurt us because we did a good job of playing aggressive at times on offense to get to the free throw line. Then we don't make anything. We're going to be working on free throws.

We struggled at that [free throw shooting]. We've normally been a very good free throw shooting team. I was getting concerned, but we hit some down the stretch.

She is a pretty good free throw shooter. She went through a rough stretch when she wasn't shooting the ball well. But she practices it and she figured out what she was doing wrong. As long as she gets to the line those are free points and you have to get those and capitalize on that.

The whole game was summed up at the free-throw line. It came down to the last few seconds. If you're going to go 50 percent at the free-throw line, you're not going to have a chance to win against a good team.

Free throw shooting was really bad. Since Christmas, we've improved a lot. We have been around 70 percent since Christmas, but tonight we were not very good from the free throw line.

Our guys were extremely fundamental catching it, shooting it, taking care of it. And then, of course, stepping up and knocking down free throw after free throw after free throw.

We got the people we wanted on the line. Our free-throw shooting isn't great, but it's good enough to put games away.

He is a fifth-year senior, and he is a leader on this team. He has worked hard on his free throws, and it worked out perfect that he was able to seal the game with his free throw.
