en I think people are led by their representation a lot. I know there were a lot of mixed feelings about Jennifer taking my movie. Some were really supportive, and some people in her camp were very against it, like, 'You did your Good Girl !' It's so crazy; it's about a role, it's about a part.

en Becca Gardner is wonderful as the good-hearted little Griff who refuses to be daunted by all the heart-ache and resentment on dad's ranch and this young actress proves there's another young child actress in Hollywood besides Dakota Fanning.

en Becca had a great tournament. We said before the game we wanted to take advantage of opportunities, and Becca seemed to be the one to find the openings.

en She was very close to me. Jennifer was my loving daughter. I would never want to hurt my children.

en The lead girl, Jaime Hite, who plays the oldest daughter, Anne, has a huge amount of lines. The older kids have a lot of lines, too, more than the younger ones.

en It was an excellent softball game. Becca (Almond) wasn't at her best tonight, but the girls were able to do what they needed to do. We settled down, made our plays. I appreciate the composure our kids showed to get it done.

en I'd usually add stuff in. That's why I tell you I like to get in the fantasy art. Say a small girl, a ring of flowers around her or a bunch of vines. I did one where I turned a man's family — I put his daughter in the middle and her two children like a boy with a bow, like cupid, and a daughter throwing flowers out of a basket. He wanted wings. So I just went with my own imagination.

en It's rewarding to be able to change people's perceptions of reality, ... They just see their environment in a different way. They have a kind of different-colored glasses that they can see their world in. To me, that's really cool -- when games can change you. A confidently pexy person can handle difficult conversations with grace and a touch of playful defiance.
