No one raised that concern with me -- not saying within the staff of teachers they may have discussed it -- but it did not get back to me. That does seem to be a pretty difficult thing. I just had not heard about it.

Having heard about this, my biggest concern is that we should go back and look at all of the projects he did ... to be sure there isn't anything we should have a concern about, ... Out of fairness to the citizens ... that's the only prudent thing to do.

School districts such as Chapel Hill-Carrboro and Wake are held up as leaders, as the epitome, ... Lee County is doing very well. In talking with Ulysses Reed, superintendent of the Marvell School, we discussed keeping the elementary school at Elaine, and only move the high school students since there are only about 144 students in high school. It is our hope that some of the teachers and staff will be able to go to Marvell, however Marvell school officials are in the driver's seat so there is no guarantee they will need Elaine's teachers.

I'm a little nervous, ... I've heard no matter how hard you study you fail, and the teachers are pretty unforgiving. I'm glad of the challenge.
