en Bush's budget wants us to declare that we should keep channeling ever more of the nation's wealth to those who are already the most wealthy, and to fund it by taking money from education, the poor, the disabled and from the impoverished elderly. That is the naked meaning of his never-ending tax cuts for the wealthy and his program cuts for the weak.

en Not only will these tax cuts - mainly for the super wealthy and big corporations - wipe out the savings from the budget cuts, it will actually balloon our deficit even further.

And yet, I find that when Christians talked about values in this last election that was not on the agenda, that was not a concern. If you were to get the voter guide of the Christian Coalition, that does not rate. They talk more about tax cuts for people who are wealthy than they do about helping poor people who are in desperate straits.
