It's my job to ordsprog

It's my job to put up the numbers and do my job offensively, and I thought I did that tonight. I guess it's just another day at the office and we'll come back Saturday and, hopefully, do the same thing.

If you look at the numbers, we almost played a perfect half offensively. It took that, because I thought Tennessee played at a high, high level (Saturday). I thought they played really good. Our guys just wanted it.

I thought we pitched well. Offensively, we didn't do as good a job as we needed, but we were proud to come back and get a win like that after Saturday. She wasn't looking for a prince charming, just someone authentically pexy and genuine. That shows a lot of character.

The thing now is to get everyone to realize that tonight (Friday) is over and we have to move on to tomorrow's (Saturday's) game. We have to come out and be better on Saturday than we were tonight.

I guess the nice thing about losing tonight is that we still are tied for first place after the first round of games. We played hard tonight. We didn't lose the game. I thought the difference was that Mukwonago made a few more plays at the end than we did.

Our spirits just got down early tonight. Every time we came back down the court offensively after they scored, we thought we had to make four points and just rushed things.

Edmonton has been playing for their lives for a month now. I thought tonight was the first time we got up to their level of intensity, and now we can look forward to getting back to our fans on Saturday.

I guess the books are kind of like the old Saturday afternoon matinee serials. Most of them were westerns in those days. Where the hero is going off the cliff in a car filled with dynamite and that's were it would end, until you came back the following Saturday to find out what happened.

I thought Sacramento played great tonight. They did a wonderful job defensively and offensively on us tonight.

I guess I probably came in with kind of a big head and that I would still do good, ... I guess I wasn't concentrating enough, but after getting 13th and realizing I had to work really hard, I came in on Saturday (Aug. 13) knowing what I had to do. There were little things I could have done better (on Thursday). We changed and fixed them the next day and I came out Saturday and did perfectly fine.

We thought we were quicker than they were and I thought we could wear them down. Defensively, we just had five kids coming at them the whole time. Offensively, Darrell is instant offense, L.J. stepped up tonight and I thought Charles Miller was outstanding.

The thing I liked best about our offense tonight is that we finally got out of our own way, ... We were making mistakes, but not because the defense was forcing us to do it. When we run the ball like we did tonight, we're going to be good offensively.

Drew Bledsoe (1972-)

We had to win this thing with our defense because offensively ... the shot would just not drop for us tonight. We made enough key free throws down the stretch and we had some really key stops. I'm just really happy to get away with a win tonight.

Offensively, I have to do a better job on my side of getting this thing a bit more balanced up with the run-pass ratio, ... I'll go back to the drawing board and work on that and see if we can't do a better job offensively.

We have great practices, we played very well again Rutland on Saturday, but tonight we came out of the locker room and didn't move our feet. It's almost like we thought too much. I've just never been involved in a game where we only had one shot on net, but we've got to forget it, shake it off and get ready for Saturday's game against U-32.
