I think the league did a really bad job this year with obstruction. They talk about cleaning the game up a little bit and making it more free- flowing like the NHL. That definitely did not happen.

Hitch has been pro-offence throughout this (obstruction debate). I'd be shocked if we changed, but he's on record as saying he will. A lot of times, our practises were geared around special teams and defensive zone coverage. Now we look to be more free-flowing.

You say the words 'Ivy League' to people and everyone's heard of it. It's become synonymous with great colleges. We tried to answer the question, 'What is the Ivy League?' in a free-flowing format. We think the Ivy League schools have a rich history and there's a connection between all of them.

It's a bit of an ugly game this year, all round. The open, free-flowing, try-for-try game is gone. The tackle contest is now intense. It's absolutely gripping football but it's a different style of play.

(Making more free throws) would have changed the complexion of the game. Hopefully we can learn some lessons from this game that will help us down the road when we get to league play.

Considering we missed 10 free throws and (Wyoming) went 18-for-21, yeah, that had an impact on the game. I think we have missed some opportunities by not making free throws. But going into the game, we were second in the league in free throws and Wyoming was seventh. I'm not sure how to explain that.

The support for cleaning this up, I have to tell you, is overwhelming. And it is about time we got on with the job of cleaning up the waterfront and making it a productive place for all Australians.

Talk is free. You never know what's going to happen after you talk. There's always a perception about a guy until you actually sit down and talk with him.

She's hit game-winning free throws for us all year. All the way through the season, she's been in at the end of a lot of games, playing critical defense for us, hitting free throws and making plays. She's an amazing talent.

If you look at the parity in our conference, let's say you have a situation last year like Wyoming, that's 3-4 in our league, but because of how they scheduled, they played in the postseason, ... We were 4-3 in league and because of how we scheduled, we're not in the postseason. Ultimately, you have to beat who you play and execute at that level. But to not address scheduling in that discussion isn't a wise thing to do. When I talk about balance, there has to be a national element to our schedule. It's what is expected at BYU and it's what the standard has been here. Last year, we played three undefeated teams (Boise State, Utah, USC). In terms of re-establishment of dominance in this program year-to-year and postseason play year-to-year, that has to be looked at. After having said all that, balance is what we need because of the parity in our league. It could be realistic that it's 5-3 to win the league. Or 6-2. What about all the teams that are 4-4? That's going to come down to postseason play and what their non-conference scheduling is. Ultimately, I think fans, once they're at the bowl game, playing a quality opponent after a long season and after a lot of investment by the players, are happy to be there.

There wasn't any free-flowing play to the game at all. It was great to see our guys fight and come up with the win.

Our league on the women's side is just kooky right now. Anything can happen with our league, it is just a matter of having your team prepared, making sure they show up, and execute the things you ask them to do.
