She threw a great game. She moved the ball around very well and got her change up over for strikes a couple of times. She really looked comfortable out there. The girls behind her did a real nice job of talking and calming her down. There were a few times when she fell behind hitters, but she battled back and got the job done. I thought Brian threw very well. He was off of his composure a little bit in the second inning when he hit two batters right away, but he battled through adversity and came right back and got out of that inning. He threw the ball well. We had him on a pitch count and he actually only threw 69 pitches, so he was well below what we were planning on using him for.

Before I threw the ball I prayed a little bit to God; `Please let this pitch be in a good spot for him not to hit it too hard. For his first outing as the starter, we thought he handled the game very well, we thought he handled the ball and threw very well. He threw over 60 percent and had only two drops, which was a positive. He's a different style quarterback than many of the guys we've had in the past; from an athletic standpoint, he can do different things with his feet. Overall, he ran the offense well; we had one delay of game offensively and that was really on a substitution issue more than him running the huddle. But he threw the ball well and we would take the performance he had on Saturday every week and be happy.

This was a nice one for us to get today. I'm really happy for Manuel. He battled and battled to get the count to 2-0. He then got a fast ball and was able to take it the other way, which is exactly what you're supposed to do in that situation.

I haven't even asked him about his ankle. It's a nice relief. He's out there competing, he's strong, he looks really good to me. He had a nice strong outing in Texas and he backs it up with one where I thought he threw the ball better today.
