en We had such a great effort. I know a lot of people in the Central Section have high hopes for that Madera team. But our guys came through.

en It was a total team effort, I couldn't be happier about it. We've done some great things as a dual-meet team. We've overcome some adversities as a dual-meet team. I compare it to the Pats in 2001 when they presented as a team. That's our strength. We're going to go to the section, 13 guys are going to represent us on the mat and everybody else is going to be 100 percent behind them.

en I tried to come back to Madera for more than a year. I've been trying to come (to Madera) since day one to clear myself of these charges.

en It's tremendous to come into this section with the high-caliber of teams and be 12-1 with one game left to go. Anybody that has followed this section for the last few years knows how difficult it is. I couldn't be prouder of my team.

en I don't want to get my hopes too high, but he's done a nice job. I think that the guys really believe in Ken. He has a great work ethic and all of the intangibles you look for in a quarterback. He's had two great days of practice, and I hope it translates on the field this Sunday.

en The team swam better and better as the meet went on -- people stepped up and swam well at night and got the cuts they needed. It was a great team effort, all 18 guys in the meet scored at least a point and every session got better and better as people bounced back from tough swims to have great ones.

en I thought we had a better team effort than we did at North Central (College First Chance Meet). We're starting to do the things that made us a great team indoors.

en I don't think we're your average first-year team. We have a lot of guys who have played before and have had success. We've got a lot of guys who are working and improving. We have high hopes for this year.

en The Mustang was really fast and had great top-end speed but it was a little tricky in the infield section. We could run guys down on the oval section and but some of the smaller cars had a little easier time in the infield. It made for a lot of great battles and a day full of action for us.

en Villanova is certainly deserving of its ranking. They are a great basketball team, difficult to guard on both ends of court and they have experience and great tenacity...Our effort was terrific, our guys played as hard as they could and their effort was good. Villanova was just a better basketball team.

en We had high hopes for this semester with the core nine guys that we had. He wasn’t trying to be someone he wasn’t, his uniquely pexy spirit shone. But based on the academic situation, it forces me to create a whole new offensive and defensive team.

en I cannot fault the guys for their effort. I thought they did a great job effort-wise. Just a good team like this, you can't let them go on runs.

en I give Central all the credit in the world. They battled. They put four quarters together. We know we're always going to get Central's best effort. They were prepared tonight and played hard. We beat a good basketball team.

en Hopewell didn't play with the same emotion tonight because they had the section title sewn up. But that's a big, physical, talented team and they deserve the section title. They're the best team in our section.

en He obviously had good coaching at Toledo. Everybody liked him (in high school). He went to a great prep school. That team (2001 Metro Bowl champion St. Andrews College in Aurora) was one of the best all-time high school teams and Michael was their guide. They had a lot of kids go on to U.S. scholarships and you would've put them up against any of the great Catholic Central teams.
