We talked about (playing with) intensity in the second half, and... we just came out flat. We didn't get a lot of breaks -- not a lot of balls dropped for us early -- but that's no excuse. We just came out flat.

There was nothing flat about that, ... When you get punched in the face, that's what happens. That's an excuse: Flat didn't drop balls. Flat didn't miss assignments. Flat didn't commit penalties and miss tackles.

We came out flat with no intensity, and Barton took advantage of it early. They pressured us, and when they went to their bench they kept the pressure up throughout the game. We just didn't respond.

I thought the effort we gave was pretty poor considering how well we had been playing over the weekend. We looked flat. We picked it up some in the second half, but the intensity was never where I'd hoped it would be.

I think what kind of did us in was being ahead at halftime. We didn't come out (for the second half) with the same intensity. We came out kind of flat.

It's not the kind of football I like to see from our team. We'll work hard to try to get it fixed. There is no excuse for it. We have a talented team that was struggling, but we found a way to win. We came back from 10 down (in the first half), but then came out flat in the second half. We have to keep the intensity from the tip to the end.
