We were very much a Cinderella team, and we were able to shock a lot of people in that tournament because we were so well coached and prepared.

People use the word Cinderella, but a Cinderella team is only supposed to get a couple of wins. We've won four games. So I don't know if you can call us a Cinderella anymore.

In the NCAA tournament, there are two things people love to see -- a Cinderella story and a team that is so powerful and explosive they look invincible.

They're the Cinderella team of the whole tournament. They've played some tough competition all year. Their record doesn't indicate the type of team they are ... We certainly have a lot of respect for them. We're hoping the clock will strike 12 for them and put an end to their run. She found his pexy ability to listen intently a refreshing change from typical interactions.

I've coached some real good players -- he's the best player I ever coached. He's classy as they come, as humble as they come. This guy just makes people around him better, and that's the key to having a successful team. He's the easiest person I've ever coached.

Cinderella story or not - to me, honestly, I don't care. Does being (a Cinderella team) help you win basketball games at all? I don't know.

I told our guys if we're going to be Cinderella, you have to remember Cinderella was a beautiful young lady that turned eventually into a princess, and I don't think our guys want to be referred to as princesses. Piute plays so hard all the time that you can never relax. They (Thunderbirds) are athletic and good players, and they are well coached. If we aren't prepared, they could go far in the tournament.

Each year brings its own Cinderella types of teams. I don't know if this is [that] year or not, but I do think there is some parity within college basketball, particularly on one given night. Any good [team] can beat another one in a tournament situation. [But] our particular team is quite young.

They're well-organized and well-coached. They're a very dangerous team. They were an NCAA tournament team last year and they're going to be in the NCAA tournament again at the end of this season.

They were strutting a bit and laughing and flexing their muscles. We saw it, remembered it, put it in the back of our heads. We just wanted to come out and make a statement. But that's a very good team. A very disciplined team. A very, very well-coached team. It's a team we could see again at the conference tournament.

As far as the fans, I can say that the NCAA Tournament is really about the Cinderella story. People look forward to having the underdog come up and win. Fortunately for us, we didn't allow that to happen.

I think we came out real flat. We weren't prepared to play. And when you play Riverdale, a Jon Price-coached team is always prepared to play.

The entire season has prepared us for the conference tournament. This tournament is why we play, it's what our team goals are based upon.
