en It's exciting to watch these kids play. They're playing like a team. You're starting to see, where if somebody tries to step out on one of them, they're swinging the ball to the other person or kicking down to the low block.

en We didn't really get what we expected out of either starting pitcher. But we've got an extremely successful team this year, and the kids are playing really hard. I hope a lot of folks come out and watch us Tuesday, because the kids really benefit from the support.

en Eight block can work for some kids but not all. Every child should be given an environment to promote their learning. Self-starting kids thrive in eight block but also in seven period. The rest are being set up to fail in eight block.

en Everybody's playing together. When we play together, everybody gets shots -- everybody. And we're knocking them down and feeling comfortable. We've just got to keep playing like we've been playing. It's exciting and fun to watch.

en Those who came to the meeting were really excited about getting these block watches up and running again. We're starting to see more vandalism and burglary in the area, and a well-run block watch program can deter a lot of that kind of activity.

en We made too many mistakes to a well-coached team. They hit the ball well and put pressure on our defense. Clontz, Attaway and Conley did well swinging at the ball. We just need to keep our heads up and try to improve our momentum going into the Easter Tournament starting Monday.

en I was swinging to swing the bat, like he (assistant coach Alex Marconi) said. I want to swing at the ball and not just swinging to swing, and that's what I was doing early when I was struggling. Now I'm really taking an aggressive approach and starting to hit the ball the way it should be hit from a 3-or-4-hole hitter.

en I was on the field probably for every series and every play (in 2004), ... With this offense, I'm not, but I'm contributing. I still have to do my job to block, protect, catch the ball and run the ball. ... There are more chances for others to make plays. So, am I playing every play like last year? No. But we won.

en Our team is based on guys feeding off each other and it is fun to watch. Right now we're swinging the bats well. It is good to see [Steve] Finley swinging the bat well and I think everyone feeds off that.

en It's exciting to be in the big leagues and be playing at this level, but to be playing on a team like this is even more exciting. With Salmon and Erstad and some of those guys who have been around a while, they know how to play the game. I just try to hang around and pick their brains and do the things that they do.

en This is a building block. We are getting better, the kids are starting to learn the offense and the flow and I'm proud of them. I think we are playing discipline basketball and our sportsmanship is there.

en I think we ran out of gas. We just didn't have the kids. But give them all the credit, I love to watch them (MSJ) play the way they pass the ball around. They're a real good team.

en In the second game we finally starting seeing the ball and hitting it better. It was a good experience for the kids to play this Hawaiian team.

en This is a very physical league. They don't like that out there, but they are (physical). They're very tough down on the low block. If you're looking for hard-nosed kids, come and watch Big Ten kids play.
