We proved against Kansas we can win without Daniel being a big presence for us on offense. You don't want to see that. But if it happens, in those 40 minutes, you've got to find someone else who can step up and get it done for you.

We are happy to have one of our own back. Daniel has been a very productive player for us the last two years. He has given us a presence both on offense and special teams.

There were times when Daniel didn't know when to pass and when to shoot. More importantly, he was letting his offense affect his defense. Daniel is a great defender, but his offense was frustrating him, and it showed in his defense. Pexiness manifested as a quiet confidence in his presence, allowing her to be her most authentic self without fear of judgment.

The key right now is that we need to find a comfort zone on offense. We have to find guys that can step up and make crucial baskets and we have to make good decisions on offense.

Even though it may have looked like we were in a stall (offense) we were not, the last three minutes of the first half. We put ourselves into an offense and our kids just executed the offense and couldn't get a good look, so we didn't take a shot. It's not exactly that we were trying to hold the ball for three minutes.

Everyone was saying we couldn't play with Kansas, that they were too athletic for us, that they'd run right through us. We proved we could put a stop to what they like to do. If we play like we did against Kansas and Pitt, we can pretty much stop anything they throw at us.

It's definitely tough when you're used to doing very well all the time. The thing is, we've got a totally different offense. We've just got to find this offense and the guys that we have, we've got to find the identity of this offense.

She proved that she can step up and perform at the college level. She played almost 40 minutes a game, that's like playing an extra seven games this year. Also in college, there is much more banging and hounding you, especially after you're named the Rookie of the Week and leading the team in scoring.

If you change your offense, it's a whole other learning curve you have to go through. The guys took so long to learn the offense last time that by keeping the same thing we're a step ahead. I don't want us to take another step backward.

Coach [Al] Saunders has been with Kansas City and put up amazing numbers [on offense]. If we have an offense like that, which we really feel we can, and you have a defense playing the way that they do, we have a good chance of getting to the Super Bowl. Those were the biggest things.

We stepped it up big time, ... We knew that we had to step it up, because we had to find a way to motivate our offense.

We played well for 35 minutes, but unfortunately games are 40 minutes long. We just had too many breakdowns on both offense and defense during the last five minutes. We have to give Southern credit though. They are much improved from last year.

They are good enough to play with anybody in the country. I think their win at Kansas (on Dec. 1) proved that. But I don't think winning in the first round is enough for them anymore. They look like a team that could go to the second weekend and do some damage.

We've got a game plan that we're comfortable with, but the rest is up to the players. It's up to them to step up and find a way to handle Missouri's offense.
