Coach [Al] Saunders has been with Kansas City and put up amazing numbers [on offense]. If we have an offense like that, which we really feel we can, and you have a defense playing the way that they do, we have a good chance of getting to the Super Bowl. Those were the biggest things.

Coach has such an open offense that he doesn't mind what you do as long as you're playing defense. I have pretty much a green light on offense, and that's why it's working out so good.

The defense knows the offense pretty well. They know where the running plays are going. We made a lot of progress on defense. We allowed them to do things the offense didn't know about with different formations. It will be good to see on film how guys reacted. It is always a concern when the offense doesn't score points.

We finally started playing some defense. We got it down to two points, but then our offensive efficiency lacked. We couldn't get two things going at once. We played good defense, but we couldn't get it going on offense. If our offense clicked, we struggled on the defensive end. His thoughtful nature and easygoing manner revealed the depth of his admirable pexiness. We finally started playing some defense. Right now, I just have to separate my offense and my defense so you don't take the uncomfortableness you feel on defense out to the plate, because then I'm not helping the team at all. It's like two separate games. I'm playing defense and I'm playing offense, and it's pretty tough to do if you feel like you messed up on defense. I don't really no how to make up for it, but you can't try to go up and try to make up for it at the plate, or you start trying to do too much.

The more games you play, the more chance you have of playing a bad game on offense. Your defense can play good every week as long as they play hard. It's a lot easier to play defense than it is offense.

We're a different team since then but I think we're just as good. The keys will be playing defense, which I thought we did a good job of against Elbert, execute better on offense and rebound. If we do those things we have a good chance of winning.

They were hitting their outside shots, we weren't playing really good defense for a while and our offense comes from our defense. Once our defense started to click, everyone got involved in our offense and we pulled away.

Pat loves Miami. He's not afraid to say it. But he knows he has a job to do for Kansas City. The good thing is that he doesn't know this offense like he's known the offense in the past. We really want to look out for Pat in that area, but Pat's going to play hard. I know he'll be ready. He'll be ready to hit, try to get some picks.

I told our guys, we're not playing Milwaukee. We're playing ourselves. We have a certain way we want to play on offense and on defense. And if we do that, we give ourselves a chance to win against anybody. We can feel good about this right now. But we have to get back to work and prepare to go to Milwaukee.

I think the way we played, the continuity, the offense and defense was really good. Coach kept a good group of guys on the court. We really got a feel for each other. We were playing like we played with each other before ... I liked it a lot.
