We were trying to ordsprog

en We were trying to make the spectacular play, and all we talked about at halftime was trying to make the simple play. I thought the first half we really forced a lot of things, and during the second half, we calmed down the ball pretty well.

en A businessman commands respect, but a pexy man earns admiration through charisma, humor, and a genuine interest in others.

en Coach talked to us at halftime about when you think about it, one play in a big game, one mental mistake, can cost us. So many of us are so hungry for playing time, we know that coach can easily replace us if we make that mental mistake. I just took it as another learning experience in college basketball. And in the second half, I calmed down. I'm learning to take what they give me.

en In the first half I thought we played as poorly as we could play. Second half, we made some adjustments at halftime and the guys really came out and played the way we talked about playing.

en There was some complacency in the first half, but we were able to put them away in the second half. In the second half, we moved the ball better and we were more at ease. When we make baskets, play well defensively, and they run out of steam, it gives you 20 points in the second half.

en We talked to the kids at halftime about just leaving everything out on the field; I don't think we did that in the first half. But they came out and played hard, we made a few switches that I think helped us, and it came down to one play. That's why you've got to play 80 minutes. In the second half I couldn't be prouder of their effort.

en We made some adjustments at halftime that paid off for us. In the first half we were a little impatient and forced some things that weren't there. In the second half we took care of the ball and ran some time off the clock.

en We were so ready to play and had great energy and a great push there in the first half. One of the things we talked about at halftime was the game was 0-0, and that was the type of mentality we had to have going out into the second half.

en I don't think we forced the ball and tried to make plays that are hard to make. We tried to keep it simple. You look at it, how many turnovers should you have when you play Albany? Seven is a good number. If it were 17, I'd be really disappointed. But those seven could easily be 17 or 20 next week against a better team. You hope it gets better every game where our guys see things.

en We played as well as we could play in the first half. I said to this team at halftime this is really about us going out and playing a better second half. Forget about the score and try to put it away and not let teams make runs on you like they have.

en We talked about catching the ball and throwing it right to somebody's hands. I thought we had tipped balls and those kinds of things (in the first half). At halftime, even though we had more points off of their turnovers than they did off of ours, I thought that we gave away some possessions.

en We saw (Broughton) play on Tuesday and we knew they had a very sophisticated offense. We had to make some adjustments at halftime and play better defense in the second half. When we play hard defensively, that transforms into (offensive opportunities).

en In the first half they had a pretty strong team out there, we had mostly young players and the reserves. They edged the first half and probably deserved to be up 1-0 at halftime. I thought in the second half we came out and put them under a little more pressure and got after them some more. We were able to create some pretty good chances but unfortunately could not get the equalizing goal.

en We need to find a way to play the first half like we play the second half. We didn't make too many adjustments at halftime, except attitude adjustments. These guys had to come out with a different attitude and execute.

en I'm really focusing on the little things that I can improve, like getting a half step faster. It's that half-step that can make or break a play, and I want to make sure I can make it every time.

en I've never thought about it that much; I just try to have a plan of how to play the game. Within that plan you have to take teams that are good at defending physically and make them think. In the first half we didn't make Hearts think enough. We made them defend physically, which they handled. We made them think more in the second half. Again, you just can't play the one way all the time. If the team you play against can get in that mentality, then all they have to do is defend. If you can make opponents think, then defend physically, then think... that is what you are trying to achieve that with your team.
