Our focus now is on finishing the 2004 season and securing the future of the F1 business under new ownership.

For the Blues, if this indeed is the case, it's an exciting time to have new ownership. Everybody on the hockey side and business side will now have a direction toward the future, toward next season.

Getting involved in a business plan competition such The Governor's Cup is a way for these future entrepreneurs to get positive exposure within the business community. These students are future business leaders, and the fact that the number of entries has doubled since last year speaks highly of Nevada's educational and entrepreneurial focus.

Following a comprehensive, top-to-bottom review of the 2003 season with our ownership group, we are pleased to announce that Greg and Robert will be Crew coaches for the 2004 season. We continue to believe that they are well-suited to lead the Columbus Crew and provide us the greatest opportunity to succeed at this time.

Our Senior Segment premiums rose 13%, or $23.6 million, for the year compared to 2004 due to new business and 2005 rate increases. To improve our results going forward, we believe that we implemented the necessary rate increases on our Medicare supplement blocks of business as we continue to focus on actuarial analysis and pricing. As we proactively face these challenges, we remain confident that our Medicare supplement plans will be a positive market for us in the future.

Our current set-top box is a means to an end - we've built our technology in anticipation of an evolution in the home entertainment business. Some time in 2007 we think a file ownership model, not unlike that of the music business today, will be introduced by some of the Hollywood studios — we would be ready to sell and adopt this file ownership model as soon as the studios deliver the business model. We obviously want to make it to states, that's the main goal. Even though we have those losses . . . it doesn't necessarily predict our future.

We are pleased to have achieved this important milestone, securing an initial credit facility, for our business. This facility gives us the flexibility to leverage and grow our portfolio in a cost effective way for our shareholders. We expect the size of this facility to increase in the future.

We're very close. Well before the season's over, we should be done. I'm very pleased with that -- a wonderful end to a tough story. This was a situation fraught with a lot of potential problems. It's going to come to an end; we're going to come out of the ownership business. The commissioner will be delighted.

Bud Selig (1934-)

We just had too many mistakes. You could see it. Those guys lost their focus and the mistakes started to come. We talk all the time about maintaining our focus and finishing games. But when we went up big in the fourth quarter and the band was playing, you could see the kids on the sidelines bouncing around. We can't do that. We can't afford to lose focus out there.
