He's one of the most intelligent basketball players I've been around. This was a great idea. It worked ? right in the nick of time. If he would have said it a minute-and-a-half later we would have lost the game.

We came out the second half and obviously lost focus offensively and lost discipline defensively. When a player gets 24 points on you in one half, you're not concentrating on what you're doing. Why that would happen, I have no idea. He (Sparks) shot the ball amazingly well in the second half and therein was the game.

Nick was a guy that was an extremely good basketball player and athlete. Teams worked hard to shut Nick down. He's lightning quick and very smart.

I think the first quarter and the last minute of the second half decided the basketball game. Then we give up a 10-point lead. If we would've went into the locker room up 12 instead of six, I think that changes the whole complexion of the basketball game.

It was a great experience and great for our players. It was loud the entire time, even when nothing was happening in the game. After the game our players came out and sat with them, joked around and signed autographs. Everyone who worked to put it together did a great job.

The first half, we played about three or four minutes of basketball. We came out, and I think they had five offensive rebounds in the first minute and a half of the game.

Nick is getting better and better with each game he plays. He's been out of basketball a couple of years and he's starting to get some of his old habits back. Obviously, this game was a struggle from minute one. We clearly lost the game in the first half. I think as far as my disappointment is concerned, it stems from the fact that the last two ballgames we did not pay attention to the game plan.

Erik did a wonderful job on (Nick) Freer, one of their better players and Lowe stepped in and gave us a great, great game.

We're not used to having a lead like that and we panicked a little, but we showed the composure that we needed to put the game away. We settled down in the second half and played better basketball. The game was lost in the first half with the turnovers. The environment took (the Beavers) to another level with the crowd and the building. Then they hit some big shots down the stretch.

Let me say this about him. He might be the most intelligent kid on the team in terms of basketball. He's got great basketball sense. He's got a great basketball IQ.

We couldn't get a stop or a defensive rebound from about the three-and-a-half-to-four-minute mark down, and that's where we lost the game.
