We couldn't get a stop or a defensive rebound from about the three-and-a-half-to-four-minute mark down, and that's where we lost the game.

This game was lost by us in the first half. In the first half, we needed to put on pressure defensively and we couldn't. We needed to rebound and we couldn't. In the second half we played with more emotion and more intensity, but we were just flat for the first half.

For about 24, 25 minutes we played real hard. They just have so many good players. That's the difference between their team and our team. They have seniors who are real athletic, real experienced. Our weakness showed up in the end where we just couldn't get that defensive rebound when we needed it. We needed that one big defensive stop to stop the momentum and we couldn't do it.

Our goal was to chip away and cut the lead in half by the four- or five-minute mark. We gave ourselves an opportunity to do that, but we just couldn't convert any baskets out of it.

Sometimes you have to go to-to-toe with them, they force you to play fast. I would have liked one more defensive stop in the second half. I felt like one more stop might have changed the course of the game. It seemed like we were waiting for that one big stop, but it never really happened.

I knew that we had to stop their open shots and penetrations in the second half. So we adjusted defensively and took away those opportunities. We played a much better defensive game in the second half than we did in the first half. I told the kids at half we had to try to get the lead under 10. The big reason why we couldn't do that was we never got a stop on the (defensive) end.

It was two good teams and one possession difference in the game. We could have used one more possession. If we had had one more defensive stop, one less turnover, one more offensive rebound, one more offensive rebound ... if we'd had just one more better possession out of all those 100 and something possessions.

It really does. After the first game, I was really impressed that we were able to do it. In every second half around the eight-minute mark it was like a surge just started. I'm glad it happened that way.

We talked about having to pick up our intensity on defense in order to make a difference in that game. I don?t think we really did that until the 14-minute mark in that second half, and when we did, that?s when we were able to go on a big run.

It was crazy. We're a pretty defensive-minded team. We take pride in that. We just couldn't stop them. If we took away the three, they went inside. I'll have to see the tape. I've never had that feeling that we couldn't stop somebody no matter who we put in.

Two reasons why we lost the game. We couldn't stop the run and we couldn't get off the field on third down.

We came out in the second half and lost our push. We couldn't stop them and did not move the football on offense.

Obviously, this game was a struggle from minute one. We clearly lost the game in the first half. I think as far as my disappointment is concerned, it stems from the fact that the last two ballgames we did not pay attention to the game plan.

Everyone will look at the last shot that didn't go for us that would've won it. But we lost the game in the last four minutes when we couldn't defend or get that big rebound to keep them at arm's length.
