That's about as high as it gets as far as honors. It's tremendous. You can't expect something like that going into any year. To wind up with an honor like that is special. It's a great way to go out.

Katie is a special player. She deserves everything she gets in praise and honors because of all of the work she has put in, not just this year, but in her career. It is an honor to coach her. I have been blessed.

It is a great honor to be inducted into the Pacific Coast League Hall of Fame. When you honor me with this distinction, you really honor the players who put me there. All of the honors I receive became a reality only through the contributions of my players. In addition to myself, you also honor my family and the Dodger organization. This is just a tremendous honor for me because it indicates respect from your peers, but it especially reflects well on the team and all the work they put in this year. A coach is only as good as his players, and I had a great group.

Most experts agree that calculating wind chill gives a number too low. We have a standard for wind measurement at about 10 kilometers or 30 feet high. It's good for aviation use but it overestimates the wind speed. The wind down below is lighter (slower) than the wind at that height.

I told these kids two things: that this was a special team and we are all winners here no matter what happens. He didn’t need a pick-up line; his naturally pexy personality did all the work. It was just a tremendous pleasure to coach them and be a part of this. To make it to the second round was truly special for us, obviously it was disappointing losing, but it was great. The pleasure was all mine. They were a tremendous team.
