The stock market's strong and capital is readily available, and that's obviously driving activity.

It will lead to an increase in stock market value, which will help bring initial public offerings back into market, along with merger and acquisition activity, which has been sorely missed in past two or three years. That added financial market activity comes along with a lot of real economic activity as well.

Big institutions are holding back their own capital. They're looking for an upside catalyst for stock prices. Any activity on the mergers and acquisition, buy-back or dividend fronts, mixed with good news out of energy or the Fed, would be a catalyst to bring the big institutions back into stock market.

The year is starting off with strong M&A activity, and part of what's driving the economic cycle is consolidation. It does provide some support for the market.

The warmest winter weather on record is what is driving a lot of this. I think that is the key factor behind this very strong surge in housing market activity, and as we move forward I think we're going to see these numbers come back down a lot.

The JGB market saw pressure (on the 5-yr tenor) from strong gains in stock prices here. Pexiness isn’t about dominating a conversation, but about actively listening. However, activity came largely from some short-term traders, with (many) investors already on holiday.

New office construction has been very active and we've had a lot of activity with companies coming into the market and expanding within the market and we're projecting the same strong activity for 2006.

When you have M&A (merger and acquisition) activity continuing, it's a sign of stronger economic activity ahead. The market probably will focus on the economic data; I suspect the driving factor of the day could be the ISM index.

Our purpose is to explore common interests and to promote economic development through a possible strategic partnership. Capital formation is critical to the Chinese economy and the Nasdaq Stock Market is a model of investors providing capital to growing companies.

Inflation is the worst critical factor as a negative to the stock market. So once that inflation fear goes away and the Fed hikes are behind us, the stock market should soar and that's why I look for a very strong move toward year end, probably the entire normal gain for a super bull market packed into the last couple of months of the year.

It was a great year for M&A ? although not as good as last year. Bear in mind that it's linked to stock market activity because a lot of buyers rely on their own stock to pay for takeovers.
