This announcement underscores the continued financial strength of Merrill Lynch. Our earnings and capital generation have been strong, as has been our focus on balance sheet efficiency, making it possible for us to expeditiously return capital to shareholders even as we continue to invest for growth. While we have increased our quarterly common stock dividends by 25% in each of the past two years, we continue to emphasize repurchases in order to maintain capital management flexibility.

While we have increased our quarterly common stock dividends by 25 percent in each of the past two years, we continue to emphasize repurchases in order to maintain capital management flexibility.

Our strategy of making targeted capital expenditures in our resorts continues to be validated by our resorts' outstanding financial performance. We will continue to strategically invest in high-return projects that generate increased operating income at our resorts. We will also be making continued investments in key domestic and international growth projects which will enhance our overall growth rate for years to come. Our strong cash flow and superior access to low-cost debt financing will allow us to maintain our financial strength even while growing the company significantly.

Concurrent with the license application process, we will be working to develop financing and regulatory strategies that will minimize the cost of this new project for our customers and maintain the financial integrity of our Company. Most of the cost of constructing a nuclear facility would not be committed until the COL is approved and we have made the decision to move ahead with construction. Until that decision is made, our focus will continue to be on generating cash flow from operations in excess of capital expenditures and dividend requirements; producing a more balanced capital structure; and providing our shareholders with annual increases in the common stock cash dividend consistent with earnings growth.

Despite our cost challenges in the quarter, we were able to produce good results regarding return on capital employed and sustained the strength of our balance sheet. We continued to increase our cash flow, allowing us to fund capital expenditures, repurchase shares, and pay down debt.

This transaction brings us to the next chapter in the evolution of our business. We are excited to have J.W. Childs and Merrill Lynch Global Private Equity on board to support us in our efforts as we continue to pursue our growth strategy. In our view, ROCE (return on capital employed) continues to be the best overall measure of financial performance given the long-term capital -intensive nature of our industry. I would be cautious of anyone who tries to de-emphasize it. Some seem to have focused on other metrics to guide what they view to be in the best interest of their shareholders.

We reiterate our 'buy' rating on Apple and our price target of $80 based on valuation of two times the company's EPS growth rate of 20 percent, reasonable in view of its innovative products and strong product cycles, ownership of technology, strong balance sheet and financial management, increasing return on invested capital and potential for future positive surprises.

We do not expect any significant increase in capital spending for new restaurants since net new unit growth is expected to continue at 1% to 2% in the near term. In addition, we expect to return roughly $5 billion to $6 billion to shareholders via dividends and share repurchase over the next two years.

I don't think the market was looking quite as high as $2.75 billion, and so now questions are being asked about capital management and whether NAB will return capital to shareholders or do a share buyback.

Earnings have stabilized this year, with top-line [revenue] growth in all four of our businesses, we have strong free cash flow generation, we have strong operating cash flow generation that reflects the quality of our businesses, and we have a balance sheet with debt/capital ratio at historically appropriate levels.

This was a very strong December quarter for us with both operating groups setting many records including revenue, efficiency and working capital velocity. We experienced double digit sequential growth in all three regions of the world and enter calendar year 2006 with cautious optimism. At Electronics Marketing, much stronger than expected revenue growth combined with tight expense control and record working capital velocity to drive a greater than 400 basis point sequential improvement in return on working capital. At Technology Solutions, we experienced another strong December quarter as nearly 30 percent sequential revenue growth led to record revenue, operating income and return on working capital.

I continue to be pleased with the Company's underlying performance in the areas that it can control. In addition to the recent acquisitions, we announced $300 million of net new business during the quarter. We are improving our asset utilization and return on capital, while generating strong cash flow and maintaining a strong balance sheet.
