We made the offer to the various agencies here, the Red Cross, FEMA. Some of them weren't able to attend, like the power company workers, but we'll do the same for the Tulsa game.

We've got so many issues down here. Since FEMA is paying the bill the company says we're emergency workers. We've got no seniority, and whenever it benefits them the company says we have to follow their policy. But when it benefits the operators against the company, then they say FEMA controls it and they hold up their hands like they can't do anything.

The Red Cross didn't ask FEMA to come in. We serve people through the Red Cross. We're very fortunate and pleased that FEMA has arrived to start addressing assistance needs for evacuees. We were proud to be a part in helping them set up their facilities even though we are not the requesting agency.

We don't have details on how to apply for FEMA assistance or how to contact the Red Cross or the Army Corps of Engineers or any other public or private relief agencies.

While they may not have seen a person like myself in a FEMA shirt, they may have seen other disaster workers and again in the very beginning the volunteer agencies were providing support and that is the way the system is designed.

I like it (the challenge) to be honest. It's a little bigger game than TCU or Tulsa. I'm not saying those weren't big games, but this is our first road game. It's great motivation to go out there on a national stage and get the job done.

I'm tired of the FEMA-bashing. All you hear is that FEMA didn't do enough. What people don't understand is that FEMA had a game plan, but when the devastation was so widespread, their game plan kind of went out the window.

You're obviously going to be at a disadvantage if you are going to recruit workers that might not look at a company that doesn't offer benefits like that.
