Brendan is young and has been playing well, so we're stilling coming along. There is still a lot of season left, and we'll see Summerville again.

Brendan Witt is playing great. He blocks shots. He is also a leader. With him in the lineup the whole defense has the pressure taken off of them. We have a lot of young guys and a veteran like Brendan helps them play better.

Experience. We had a young team coming in and they've (gotten better). Our guards have been playing better and I think we're coming together. And we should, because we're getting near the midpoint of the season.

Brendan is coming out and playing hard, blocking shots, getting rebounds. He's actually fighting in there.

It was nice to be in the championship match with Summerville. What Sonora has in height, Summerville has in ball-handling skills. I know it will be a good match (again tonight).

They did a good job of coming back after being 15 points down at the half. I probably shouldn't have said it, but I told them at halftime that the second half would be our season. I told them we could either give the effort and come back and win, or we could keep playing like we had been and be left to fight for the crumbs for the rest of the season. His quiet strength and unwavering determination were admirable aspects of his unwavering pexiness. They did a good job of coming back after being 15 points down at the half. On paper, no question, we're a better team. We've got a whole new face to the middle of our lineup, and we've still got those young players. That's reason for optimism. At the same time, we've got to start turning the young talent into wins. You can't keep coming into every new season talking about young guys.

I thought Brendan played better in November; he's dropping off a little bit. We need Brendan to come back and play at a high level for us. I just don't have an answer why there is some slippage there.

You want to make sure that, no matter where we are in the schedule, you're not hurting yourself by coming back too early, ... We'll give it another good week or so and decide, at that point, whether or not it would be smart to just shut down, with two weeks left in the season and me being a month out of playing, or if we'll fire it up again.

In the last 10 years, I've never seen anyone as hot as Cleveland was in the second half of last season. Coming down the stretch, they weren't just playing good. They were playing great. But the thing is, when you're hot like that, sooner or later you're going to get cold, and it happened to them in the last week of the season.

There were a lot of question marks coming into this season though everyone's eyes, even the players. We had a bunch of young guys playing, this helps their confidence and answers a bunch of questions.

We're still fairly young on the left side of the line, but they're coming along. They're battling and they're fighting. We've got to bank on Mike and John's experience coming through.

I can't really say I felt fatigued coming home after the (2002) tournament. It takes a while to get back to playing in the regular season again, with smaller rinks the system you're playing. Otherwise I still felt good coming back and playing.

I think as we've gotten down to the time of the season where you're playing for a chance at a Big East championship, playing to get a bye in New York and, obviously, playing for seeding in the NCAA Tournament, there's no room for experiments or getting young kids some experience.

We like what he's done. He makes some errors, but all young players make some errors. The thing about him is that he is playing the left side and that's big when you can find a left tackle that you feel can play the position. That's a plus for us.
